Calling UK tocilizumab or epipen users: How do you dispose of your self-injector? Who arranges it?
Someone on the Vasculitis forum is encountering difficulty - is expected to attend the hospital to be handed her self-injection medication because they claim there isn't a protocol for disposing of the needle.

Exciting News!
I got a call from the transplant center I wiling with. An altruistic donor had stepped forward, and I am a match! If things go as planned, I will receive a kidney transplant on July 13th Still a bit overwhelmed by the news.

3rd dose vaccine
Just came across an interesting article stating the benefits of a 3rd vaccine shot given to organ transplant recipients . https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/L21-0282 In my limited understanding of the conclusions, it seemed to have resulted in a significant increase in antibody titers. Does anyone

A third dose of COVID-19 vaccine increased antibody levels in organ transplant recipients
The antibody response after 2 doses of an mRNA vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 is excellent in the general population, but the response is different in recipients of solid organ transplants. For example, we have found markedly attenuated antibody responses in transplant recipients after 2 doses of an mRNA

Nanoparticle therapy shows promise at preventing fatal newborn lung disease
The disease is so rare and complex that its acronym is hard to pronounce. But for infants unlucky enough to be born with this lung disease, the outcome is usually fatal. The disease is called alveolar capillary dysplasia with misalignment of the pulmonary veins (ACDMPV). Research indicates the disease

Impending surgery concerns
Impending knee replacement and worried about impact anesthesia and post surgery pain killers could have on already level 3 liver disease. Has anyone undergone orthopedic surgery and how did it go? What I don’t want to happen is to get a new knee and then need liver transplant because of meds.

Hello, my name is Alec. I've been diagnosed with end stage cirrhosis and need a liver transplant. I'm struggling to sleep. I'm really restless and itch like mad. Kidney Transplant Waitlist
I met one patient at dialysis clinic couple years ago. I saw him did quick treatment just couple months then disappear. I asked tech where was he. Tech said that guy got the kidneys. He was judge in downtown. He had premium health ins. That was lied that you have to wait 7 to 10 years on waiting list

Pleased to report the lump has left the building...👍👍
Following a month or so of anxiety over my neck lump and the implications re lung transplant etc.. i am delighted to report the offending item is no longer and as a few of you kind souls suggested it was probably a cyst . Anyway, starting the Nintedinab soon as i opted for this over the Pirfenidone for

Research- Transplant Protection Clothing- Feedback Welcome
Hi Everyone, hope you're all keeping well. I wanted to ask of your opinions to see if this idea I have is worth pursuing as a product. It is essentially seeing if this is something to investigate further. My backstory is that I had a kidney transplant at 17. Upon recovery I was interested in playing

Kidney Disease Solution
For us CKD is a family affair. Out of nine children, five of us have this disease. Of those five one has had a kidney transplant and one is on dialysis. I am currently at stage 3 and I’m trying really hard to halt the progression and avoid being hooked onto a machine. To that end I bought a detailed
