My name is Jessica and my best friend has a 4 year old daughter with kidney disease and she just got a transplant a little over a year ago. My friend really struggles to cope with the pain of seeing all that her daughter goes through and the things she has to miss out on because of her health. Can you recommend an online support group that may have actual meetings I can connect my friend with?
Thank you!
Jessica

Hi jsalute,The transplant team at the children’s hospital where the transplant took place may be able to help with advice on local support groups.
Alternatively, (if your friend is in the USA? I’m not …) try the following article which suggests some organisations that might be able to help and advise:
A place to start is the HealthUnlocked online community "Parents of Children with Kidney Disease". They don't have actual support groups, but you can post your question and someone there may know of one. Sometimes the online chats themselves end up being a great support too.
Content on HealthUnlocked does not replace the relationship between you and doctors or other healthcare professionals nor the advice you receive from them.
Never delay seeking advice or dialling emergency services because of something that you have read on HealthUnlocked.
