Liver transplant

Hi my dad is 67 and a diabetic he was diagnosed with liver disease in April of this year and is in the process of scan after scan. He has passed the heart and lung/ fitness tests. The consultant suspects cancer in the liver bile duct but spy glass test broke on the last try so inconclusive. They have kicked the next spyglass test down the road for another 3 weeks which means he’s getting weaker and weaker. My question is if they find cancer in the duct and it’s contained can a transplant still go ahead?

I don't think any of us are placed to answer that question sadly - it really would be up to the transplant team in question. Wouldn't want to raise false hopes or indeed dash them if it is possible. Really a topic for discussion with dad's transplant team.Cancer Research website seems to suggest it isn't possible though I see US sites saying it is.

I hope he gets his necessary tests and you get the desired results a.s.a.p.
