Funny taste in mouth 1 year out
Hi,I Im almost a year into my kidney transplant, and am on the usual meds like Prednisone, etc. Ive noticed over the past 2 months that my sense of taste isn't what it use to be, with almost no taste at the front of my tounge. Can this be a med side effect? I did have some dosages changed. Thanks

Wondering what to expect
I’m new to this forum. My husband was diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease cirrhosis and HCC liver cancer in July 2018. He will require a liver transplant to survive and our surgeon told us he would not make it to a deceased donor. Our wonderful radiologist has kept him alive thus far. We

Update and Best Wishes
Have just got out of hospital after three days of methylprednisolone infusions. The idea was to bring me into hospital and give me a boost so I could go on a holiday. Just as well I went in because it coincided with a fairly bad attack, so hopefully I’ll be OK now for a month or so. Mid February

Functional doctor checking everything!
I posted here before about my suspected low B12 and my experience with my unsympathetic GP. I visited my consultant who was also not interested in listening to me. In fact he was taking blood while I was telling him I was sure I was low in B12 again and he didn't bother to even check it even though I

Me
Hi. I had a kidney transplant in 2015. It’s my 3rd transplant. It was a perfect match. Other than I get sick in the winter and my Cholesterol is high it’s doing good.

Heart Failure or failed myself?
I have final stage heart failure. Had a hole in heart repaired when I was 4 years old and a valve replacement in 1993 at 14 years old. Been ok from that time to a few years ago. Since Sept 2017 my heart has been deteriorating and I’ve been in out of hospital a good 8-10 times. September 2019 I had a

BO Update
I came to this site about 6 months ago. I was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis Obliterans in 2017. I follow at Temple Lung Institute. I am just returning to this group after the usual medical adventures. It has been a whirlwind of a year. I can't wait to see the back of 2019. I am exhausted. This is my time

Kidney transplant
Hi everyone! My husband had a kidney transplant on July 2nd of this year. His donated kidney is doing good, but he's not. His RBC, hmg keep going real low. He has to have blood transfusion every two weeks. He is week, no energy. Has anyone else had problems after kidney transplant? If so how long does

A cautionary tale
A cautionary tale for those of us who have used or are using opiates for pain. I have several autoimmune diseases. I’ve survived leukemia with two bone marrow transplants. I have latent effects from the chemo that manifest themselves in all kinds of ways. I have herniated discs at C5-C6 and L5-

Introducing myself and asking a question! Do any of you take Spiriva2.5 1 puff 2 x a day instead of 2puffs 1 x a day?
Hi, I’ve been reading and responding to posts on this site for about a year. I am diagnosed with bronchiectasis and asthma. I had asthma as a child but out grew it when I was about 16. I didn’t have any issues until 20 years ago due to an environmental accident over a period of 6 months; My lung function
