Hello guys , I had a kidney transplant for 8 months and now I have a lot of hair loss. if someone experienc with this issue how to stop hair fall ?

Hi! Im 10 1/2 months post transplant and lost a tone of hair! It started at the 3 month mark and lasted 5-6 months. I saw a dermatologist and explained that it was very most likely du to surgery/anesthesia/stress on the body and it is called telogen effluvium. It can last up to 6-9 months. Tacro can make your hair fall out aswell. She mentioned that tacro related hair loss typically happens later on (a few years after transplant) and is more like the hair thinning than hair loss. I’ve tried supplements, serum, oils any remedy that you can find (all approved by my team before) and honestly only time can really make a difference. I think all i did helped make my hair be stronger but i don’t think it made it grow any more or faster. If you have questions, you can always message me!

I think a lot of us struggle with this. My thick hair started falling at 4-6 months and didn’t stop for a few months. It’s returned but it’s much much finer. Learning to live with it but do mourn the loss. Having said that some say it grows back thicker. Give it time . Philip Kingsley Elasticiser is brilliant . Gives fine hair gloss and more body. Heb 17 maanden geleden een niertransplantatie gehad.

Nu al enige maanden ook veel haarverlies en dunner van structuur.

Dermatoloog gaf zinksulfaat 3 x per dag 200 mg maar merk helaas geen verschil.

Had altijd veel heel en vol haar....nu haren met haren kammen verlies ik heel veel haren!

Heb ook van alles geprobeerd.

Yes my hair has been thinning a lot since I have been on the immosuppressent medication and I had my transplant six months ago and I believe that some of the meds that are taking the side effects is hair loss. It is very unfortunate, but it is a small thing to living!! 😊
