I'm scheduled for a kidney transplant evaluation in a few days. I was told that the appointment can take 4 or 5 hours. Can anyone please tell me what is involved with the evaluation?

Dear All, I have been 'on' Tacrolimus since my Kidney Transplant, way back, in July 2013. Recently however my regular Chemist- Rowlands- has had Trouble/ a Problem 'getting' this- however, it appears that NO-ONE else has! My Doctor's has been Great, about this, and has written the Prescription for this

Poop may not be magical? Microbiome Prescription Blog discusses FMT results
http://blog.microbiomeprescription.com/2021/11/26/before-donor-after-fmt-analysis/ I'm still pro poop. Just sharing. Is FMT Worth the Risk? FMT is effectively an organ transplant. Like organ transplants, there are significant risks of rejection and no way to undo it once it happens. From correspondence

Following double lung transplant assessments they have now discovered i have coronary stenosis but cannot make a final decision until a further report is prepared and discussed with the cardiologist. These tests are so thorough as only the fittest( ironic eh!) can be put forward. Depending on the grade

My husband hasCKD. I’m so scared
Hello everyone! I’m really scared for my husbands life. He is 45 years old and his primary has just diagnosed him with CKD. He has GFR of 70. Doctor really scared us by telling us that at his age he would properly require Dialysis and a kidney transplant. We have an appointment to see a specialist

6 monthly assessment
Quick update regarding a question I had a couple of months ago. I was worried that I would not be able to perform the walk test at my my 6 monthly check up for my lung transplant. I took your advise, gritted my teeth and increased my oxygen. I managed 4 minutes of slow walking, rested and then completed

Covid-19
Has anyone with kidney transplant and Covid shots caught Covid? If so how did you do? This is my fear as I don’t know how my body will react. I am very scared to go out for fear of losing my donated kidney.

Covid -19, still a big risk for some - 2.
I posted this tread up some three months ago just as a warning to others who like me are immunosuppressed. At this time, there are estimated to be around 44% of organ transplanted people who still didn't produce any Covid antibodies. Some of you will remember Jenny who use to frequent this forum, Jenny

LVH / HCM After Renal Transplant
Hi - I’m 55. I had a kidney transplant in 2014. Transplanted kidney has done amazingly well. However, almost immediately after I starting prograf I complained of rapid heart rate and have consistently done so for years. Fast forward to 2021, a physician’s assistant finally listened and I was referred

Dr. Ondo have an appt with this dr in December. Can anyone tell me if they have seen him or had any experience with him and their thoughts
I have rls that originally started years ago in my legs. I developed renal failure and went on dialysis for 5 and 1/2 years which caused my rls to go off the charts. I have now had a kidney transplant as of July 2020 and with all the meds I take for anti rejection meds I have developed rls in my abdomen

I need the rest
You sound exactly like a mirror of myself. I agree, the augmentation and withdrawal are horrible. I take Gabapentin, 600 mg. about 7 p.m. and 900 mg. at 9 p.m. About 8:30 I take 100 mg. Tramadol. I am weaning off my last .5 mg. Ropinirole and usually take that at 7:15 p.m. I had about 1 week of beautiful
