In a panic! Has anyone heard of these?
After a few years of heavy bleeds, now under control with the pill, this past few weeks I had symptoms of stabbing pain (nearly fainted twice) in my pelvis and a very achy back I went for a private scan. NHS so busy atm and I was torturing myself. So the sonographer report states 2 possible causes. Degenerating

It is exactly a year since I had my RF ablation. I was lucky, haven't had a single episode of AF since. On Wednesday I saw a surgeon about my hip and I will have hip replacement surgery in about 3-4 months. He said we wouldn't meet again until the day of the operation. Afterwards, I realised that

Rug pulled from under me
Hi all I haven't posted much as I have been given the opportunity to go private to have a hip replacement. The op was due to be done on 9th July but it looks like the private hospital are getting cold feet because of my autoimmune skin condition. Just utterly devastated. I was emotionally struggling

Gutted, had to stop
After 4 months of persevering with c25k and managing to run 5k three times a week, I have now developed severe hip pain, the speed this pain has developed is frightening, it has gone from an ache to agony and I am struggling to walk. My GP has told me running is bad for my joints and an xray will probably

Hip Replacement
Hi.... I’m new to this forum, but familiar with HU for a condition my husband has. I’ve found it a great resource. I have OA in my right hip and was to have a hip replacement in approx 4-6 months (in Ontario), but due to COVID, all surgeries are now delayed. Some days are ok, but most are quite uncomfortable

Torn rotator cuff
I fell on the ice in December. It tore my rotator cuff. Been going to physical therapy and had 2 cortisone injections. First shot helped some second did nothing. I still have terribile pain in my shoulder. The weather effects it a lot. I know when it’s going to rain. I am afraid it’s not healing. I

Medical heart valve Devices alert
Got a letter again from the Freeman Hospital who did my aortic valve transplant in 2016 stating that the MRHA regulatory agency has put out a Medical Devices alert relating to the valve they used in my heart and that I need more frequent check-ups, that's a joke because I've nerver had any at all. Lactulose... Ugh! Please help
So I started taking Lactulose yesterday again. Took it a long time ago with no problems I can remember. 1Tbs 2x a day. Now... 2Tbs 3x a day. I took the first 2Tbs and thought I would die from cramps and gas and then the runs. Drank water like a fish and still awoke dehydrated. Today I am doing 1Tbs 3x

Steroid injection in my knee has made it worse.
Morning everyone. I had another steroid injection in my knee nearly 3 weeks ago and it has actually made it worse. The one started with a bakers cyst 18 months ago and has been swollen ever since but not just out the back of the knee. It now has more swollen lumps on it and much more painful to walk

Would hip replacement be a problem with stage 4?
My husband has stage 4 prostate cancer. He was originally diagnosed in 2014 with Gleason 3 & 4. PSA started to go up in 2016. Started ADT. 2018 had Galium scan and they found it in bones and lymph nodes. They started chemo, he ended up in the hospital with a perforated colon and almost died. Fall

Total hip replacement and limited systemic scleroderma
I am due to have a total hip replacement in less than 2 weeks time. I have limited systemic scleroderma and am on Rituximab every 6 months. If so, was your recovery slower than normal or did you go into a flare? I take low dose prednisone and Hydroxychloroquine.
