I fell on the ice in December. It tore my rotator cuff. Been going to physical therapy and had 2 cortisone injections. First shot helped some second did nothing. I still have terribile pain in my shoulder. The weather effects it a lot. I know when it’s going to rain. I am afraid it’s not healing. I tore the other shoulders rotator cuff in 2014. It eventually healed with therapy and cortisone shots. I had a hip replacement in September. That was easier than this pain in my shoulder. Any advice from someone else’s experience would be wonderful. This site has helped me so much. Thankyou

Torn rotator cuff
Hi Nanny23 - it’s me again! Just wanted to say after reading your post my mum has rotator cuff issues and used to have injections (one shoulder she ended up having surgery on so it’s better now, the other is beyond repair as it wasn’t treated quickly enough) I seem to remember she once experienced relief after one injection and the next time it didn’t help much. Also, knowing when it will rain, I had this many years ago after breaking a bone - it would ache during wet weather for years afterwards! Eventually it stopped. But at the time I remember my Doctor either suggesting or prescribing a particular cream to apply to ease that discomfort. I can’t remember what it was as it was so long ago, I guess maybe a topical anti inflammatory? But it worked! Might be worth looking into.
Thanks so much. I called sr. Today. Waiting to hear back. Are you in the UK? I’m in the states. I’m trying to avoid surgery if I can.
Yes I’m in the UK. I know surgery is scary, my mum didn’t want it, but she says she’s never had a problem with that particular shoulder since so eventually she was glad she did it. I would definitely see someone again about it as you’ve been in pain a long while now. Maybe there’s something else they could do even.
Hello Nanny23, I am sure you have been down the physiotherapist route. 8 years ago when I lived at my last house I had a bad fall from top of the stairs to the bottom. I had a bad dislocation. Took ages to heal and ages to move again. In my experience it was only good physio treatment and perseverance that got me on the road to recovery. I wish you well .

Would love to hear about it. Thanks.
Thanks
Really appreciate this.
I am in United States
Yes. I did look up on it but is sounds confusing. Sure I’d love your number. Thanks
I use something called revive. It’s sold in TV. Made in Great Britain. It’s for legs and has a tens machine attached. It’s helped with circulation in my legs a lot. After hip surgery I had to stop using it. I’m back at it some now. Nothing seems to help my shoulder. Where do you live? I’m from New York
