How to get help when my results are in range?
I have been taking
iron
and have managed to get my ferritin levels up to 75 finally (ferritin has always been quite low in range). I am struggling with low energy and mood, weight gain, puffy face/eyes and sluggish metabolism. I monitor my thyroid after having thyroiditis a few years back.

Ferritin levels
So I know this isn't "normal" for folks with RLS and I image the GP will put me on
iron
supplements as she wanted it to be above 100. I started "gentle"
iron
every other day 2 weeks ago as I knew the last time my levels were 60. How long before my levels will be raised to over 100? TIA

Tongue / Graves disease
I used nystatin and it didn't clear so it was only this week I went back and saw a GP rather than advanced practitioner and she says Leukoplakia and to have vitamins, blood, folate, and
iron
tested!

Cortisol saliva vs blood serum
I have done an
iron
IV to see if it helps me with tolerating medication, but it doesn't seem to be the answer. Next thing to check is cortisol. My blood serum is top range, by saliva is low morning, then normal midmorning, the dipping to go up to normal afternoon and evening (59-65% range).

Armour thyroid
I've been on armour for around 7 years, so I feel like I know my body quite well, and I recognise my symptoms of hyper/hypo well, but I'm so confused 😕 (All other bloods, d3, b12,
iron
etc ate in range)

Iron
is good, I get infusions as needed. I use Magnesium oil- I watch diet, mild exercise seems to do best. Have used compression dvt devices. I take limited medicines or supplements.

Dr's Appointment
He has reduced dose from 100/75 to 75 and said that I can take
Iron
pills for extreme tiredness even though my
iron
levels are fine, but my ferritin is low. I would appreciate your opinions on this as I thought you shouldn't take
Iron
in this case 🤔

Switched from Methadone at 10 mg to Buprenorphine 10 mcg
Also, I asked the neurologist to test the
iron
and and Ferritin levels. The lab served me a Medicare ABN for a cost of $155.23. I could be responsible to pay for it, if Medicare refuses it. I know this test is important. What should I write to the neurologist to ask him what can be done?

Getting tested after taking any supplements...
I will also keep a close eye on my ferritin as he treated that too with an infusion (also
iron
flu is NO joke, but I have turned the corner finally), and my folate, plus my vitamin D which is insufficient.

TSH dropping, but FT4 stuck
Having taken advice on here previously I know you need to know other levels, I have been supplementing with:
Iron
/vit C to tackle my low ferritin (was 18ug/L in September23, now (March 24) 44ug/L range11 to 307) VitB12 injections (was 213ng/L in August - range above 203) - no new test on the basis

First time posting here with questions
I see an endocrinologist privately who treats my Hashi's and he recommended
iron
infusions but I can't get it ordered under my insurance because my blood counts and hemoglobin are in the normal range.

following first 10 S/Is now totally exhausted
From what I have been reading I am wondering if this is down to B12 trying to work , grabbing all the
iron
and folate it can find and possibly has depleted that? Do I need to get some folate right now, or should I wait for the results of the blood tests?

Iron Blood Test Results
Hi i’m wondering if anyone could advise on my
iron
blood test. I had a recent thyroid test which showed Ferritin at 69.1 ug/L (range 30-150). This was through Thriva. I have since tested with Medicheck and my ferritin seems to have reduced.

Recent visit with my RLS Neurologist
Also you had a very low ferritin level which is another risk factor, and
iron
initially helped with symptoms.

the curse of lifelong RLS…
I eventually had the blood test, ferritin was low at 19 ng/ml and, refusing an
iron
transfusion, he prescribed a course of oral
iron
which I took for many years. At my request when I was 54 a kinder GP referred me to the neurology department at Kings College hospital London.

Iron Level for RLS
My recent
Iron
blood test results showed my level was 108. Because I was seeing another doctor while mine was on leave I had to explain the my levels are usually over 127. I figured my
iron
needed to be increased so I asked for an
iron
infusion.
