Trying 3 Arrows Iron - UK Test Guide?
Does anyone have a UK equivalent sheet of what we are striving to achieve by being optimal for our
iron
panel?

Switching from Levothyroxine to Liothyronine
My
iron
is usually on the low side so I take ferrous fumarate which I get on prescription. Ideally I would like my TSH to not be suppressed (mainly to get doctors off my back!) whilst having a good level of T4 and T3.

Genetic/familial RLS
Genetic/familial rls respond to
iron
in the same way? Just found out that my sister suffers from rls and we feel that our father may have. I have taken three months of
iron
with no improvement at all in fact, the rls is worsening. I am about to request a recheck of
iron
panel.

Heartened to know I am not alone in the struggles caused by pramipexole
I had
iron
infusion in December. At 3 weeks, ferritin was 1;200. I’m waiting for current results. My only current medication is cannabis although illegal whee I live. Needless to say, my sleep is so fragmented. They have diagnosed delayed sleep phase onset. I took six 5 mg diazepam last night.

Blood tests, T3 and talking to GP
Also allows me to test ferritin and
iron
which I’m working to improve. Any advice on talking to my GP that will enable me to continue with the trial before dropping levo? I’m assuming my TSH will be very low.

Help with results please
The
iron
panel was in the afternoon haven taken both my
iron
doses and having eaten so that I could check I was not overloading on supplements as I'm aware supplementing can cause overload. Would really appreciate any advice on both
iron
and thyroid please!

Uncooperative GP
Since then I have seen a haematologist who has been a great help with
iron
and a blood transfusion which has made me feel a lot better. But I'm still tired all the time, with pins and needles in my hands and feet, and terible cramps in my thighs and hands.

Things My Doctor Said in Notes./Rant On
Meanwhile she changed the diagnosis to "myositis/myalgia multiple", added made-up complaints like "weakness", diagnosed me with "hyperferritinemia w/o
iron
overload", when I told her I have a genetic predisposition to hemochromatosis.

Restless Legs - changing treatment.
But even if
iron
therapy can help, surely treatment with Pregabatin will still cause dizziness? I live in Denmark and not many doctors know much about RLS - not even neurologists.

My local haematologist was adamant these were menopause related but Guys reassured me they could be in part due to
iron
deficiency. I have now started Pegasys 45mcg every other week- on the suggestion to go low and slow..

Supplements for 2nd trimester
Hello all, I’m 16 weeks pregnant now and as it’s my first pregnancy I’m not sure whether I should just go for
Iron
, Protein, Calcium supplements or wait for my midwife to suggest.

My
iron
is pretty good but I am supplementing to get it up a bit to see if that may help. Currently the DA gives pretty good cover. I may be in a situation where I continue with 5 mg of Esatalapram and go on Pregablin and hope it covers me... Thoughts? Thanks! Jen

Recent visit with my RLS Neurologist
Also you had a very low ferritin level which is another risk factor, and
iron
initially helped with symptoms.

Morning blood cortisol test, is it worth it?
I should mention I was severely
iron
deficient 3 months ago but ferritin is now coming up. This Medichecks test also includes cortisol.
