Can't find proper thyroid medication
Hi all, I've tried almost all thyroid medications under the sun, NDT, T4 only (tirosint, synthroid, euthyrox), T4 + T3, T3 only, NDT + T4. And no matter what I still have lingering symptoms despite all my levels being optimal ( TSH, free T4 and free T3). My vitamins are all optimal as well (vtiamin

pregnancy RLS
I was on medication before I was pregnant because my RL was so severe. Since being pregnant the medication wasn’t advised due to lack of research. I am approaching 32 weeks pregnant and it’s worse than ever! I can’t sleep. Iv tried iron supplements, tens machine, ice packs, magnesium cream and bath salts

Iron test results - 6 weeks pregnant
Hello again My last iron test results suggested I was oversupplementing, so I reduced it to 1 Thorne Iron, alternate days. I have since found out I'm pregnant, but not sure that it makes any difference to what I'm doing...guess it will just need monitoring as we go, as iron is one of the things that

Symptoms suddenly taking a turn for the worse
Hello everyone. I am new to the forum, and have some questions to ask, but also want to share my RLS story, as well as some things that I have found helpful in living with RLS. I have had RLS for over 40 years. At first it was fairly easily controlled with a good run or long walk, and later with magnesium

Will being on optimal Levo dose for weight make a big difference in mood etc?
hi all. I was prescribed 100mg (increase of 25mg) after insisting the doctor speak to an endo, who then advised I should be on around 150mcg for my weight. Will a change from 100 to 150 really make that much of a difference? Also, I feel like I’m always bloated and gaining a little weight. I tried

Thyroid and anaemia
I have just been told I have serious anaemia and will have an iron injection on Thursday. Can you tell me if there's any connection, or contraindication with my hypothyroidism? Thank you

Ropinirole to Pregabalin
Good Morning RLS team! :) I'm new to this group - very thankful to have found it and the fantastic information that's here. Hurrah for you! Last October I started taking Ropinirole for RLS but have decided I don't want to stay on it any further - I've augmented on that and I have edema in my arms

still confused about my iron results
I’ve now redone my iron panel with medichecks and have similar results to last time. I can’t work out why my ferritin continues to drop. And what I can do about it as I know I need higher ferritin levels for optimum thyroid hormone function. …………………………… Ferritin……….Iron……….. Trans. Sat………..TIBC……….

Iron blood test results are back, please could you take a look for me?
In a previous post I gave my Ferritin result from a blood test in March (this was 36.90) and I was recommended to check my other iron levels before taking iron supplements . I now have these results back and would be really grateful if you could let me know your thoughts please : Medichecks BLOOD TEST

Iron explanations
This is part of the latest newsletter from the Iron Disorders Institute. It is a great roundup of all those complicated terms that some of us use on this site with regards to iron issues. Keep in the bottom drawer!😝 https://mailchi.mp/irondisorders/hemochromatosis-6098211?e=e018a75e11

Suppression of TSH but low T4/T3 levels whilst taking Levo/Lio Combo
A few years ago, my thyroid results were looking a lot better but NHS GP over the last 2 years has told me to reduce my dosage twice (because of the 'risks' of overtreatment). I'm now on 100mcg levothyroxine (75mcg supplied by GP and topped up by myself) and 25mcg liothyronine (self-sourced). I now don't

Update on rls
Hello everyone, just an update to let you know how I have been getting on since coming off the dopamine agonist. It's around 3 months now since I took my last tiny piece of pramipexole, after a pretty rough time of crawling legs, arms, shoulder shivers, I'm finally getting better!!! While coming off

B12 and anxiety
Hi Guys I have been doing well recently and got in a position where I felt confident enough to move from every day B12 injections to every other day. I also take methylcobalamin and B complex drops but only three times a week. I was also taking daily supplements for iron, vitamin D and magnesium but

iron panel blood test
Hi all, I have quarterly iron Panel blood test booked on Wednesday.
Do I need to stop vitamins with biotin in for an iron panel blood test please?
Or is it just for thyroid blood tests that biotin is stopped? Help appreciated, thank you.

Iron Levels
I am a 74-year-old woman living in New Zealand. I was on Ropinirole for restless legs for approximately 3 years. Augmentation set in and I saw his forum went to my doctor who has changed my medication to Pregabalin. Currently on 50mg per day as I weaned off Ropinirole (completely weaned off for 3 nights

where to go from here
I started t3 a month ago first 2 weeks 2.5 mornings only which I definitely believe gave me more stamina and energy and then after 2 weeks added in a second afternoon 2.5, - im not sure if this made much difference, perhaps as first was going from nothing to something and this was just a small increase
