teeth clenching
I’m titrating NDT Armour over the last year but I’ve got a hypo symptom that’s bothering me, nighttime teeth clenching. I have no knowledge I’m doing this. I take amitriptyline and once I get to sleep midnight to 1am, I’m out for the count. I think the dentist told me September 2023 that I was clenching

Tigger is bouncing around Winnie the Pooh, because he is happy his RLS is better
I was originally trialing 5 microgram 7 day patches that got me out of that dark tunnel but wasn’t 100% effective so after the initial 3 week trial I wrote to Dr Christopher Murphy explained the situation and he arranged for me to collect 10 microgram 7 day patches from Salford Royal Infirmary. I applied

TMS/TBS, Buprenorphine tip
I have just completed TMS/TBS(theta burst stimulation) treatments(36 TMS+10 TMS/TBS) It has been a game changer for the post Dopamine agonist depression, that was quite severe and unresponsive to meds. I currently have no depression symptoms. What I have found is that the RLS symptoms are decreased

iron lab results 10 weeks post iron infusion
I have had four iron infusions in the last 2 years. 10 weeks ago I received Injectafer 1000 mg with so-so results. I had seen a hematologist at my neurologist/Sleep specialist’s urging out of his concern for my out of whack lab numbers. The hematologist was not concerned. I gave my sleep, specialist

Help interpreting iron panel
Hello I am hypothyroid, about 5 years & take just under 100mg levothyroxine daily. I have a high T4 & low T3 and see a private endo who has offered to prescribe T3. I'm generally feeling ok but do struggle with puffy & very sore eyes, dry skin & high cholesterol. I am thinking of trialling the T3.

My visit to the Neurologist in the UK
I was incorrectly referred to the epilepsy clinic but the consultant saw me anyway and took my history. She said she would also chat to the “movement specialist” for their in put. She did a physical examination and noted my reflexes were “brisk”. She said that the dopamine agonists had been effective

codeine
I’m just wondering if taking a 60mg dose of codeine each night is addictive? I’m only taking codeine occasionally at other times if I’m in agony with my other health problems. I’ve noticed that it helps my RLS calm immensely when taken with or a low dose of pramiprexole. I also find a hot way bottle

Hello from USA. I was on Ropinpole for years - it stopped working so I stopped taking it. Luckily, I had no withdrawal effect at all. Then i was put on Pramapexole, Gabapentin & Clonzepan ( i also have major insomnia). That was about 3 yrs ago. Unfortunately, the RLS has decided to start up during

Went to the Doctors.
Hi everyone thanks again for all your help and suggestions. I went to the doctors and they agreed it's postural hypotension and it's making my blood pressure go low when I'm standing up they aren't sure what's causing this but think it could be my heart medication and they want to check my iron levels

Further info on blood panel
Hello! I posted a couple of weeks back with some questions about low B12 investigations and was about to have a very full and detailed blood panel. I've got some further info from my blood tests. I don't have a copy yet, they're on the way, so I'll have to be vague about actual numbers for some of them

If I can help one desperate fellow RL sufferer.....
A while back I posted that I was going to stop my withdrawal of Pexola.......a family member who as I do suffered with chronic RL for close to twenty years changed the method of taking her medication and no RL. I decided to follow her method, as I, like so many of us was desperate!! 0.25mg three times

13 month old in movicol. Overwhelmed
It’s the middle of the night and I’m overwhelmed. My breastfed baby at 6 months developed chronic constipation. He had covid, and other colds, was weaning and started on multivitamins with iron. Since then I think we’ve successsfully weaned (still breastfed) and now on multivitamins without iron. He

High Transferrin Saturation without optimal iron levels
Hello, I am currently trying to get my iron levels up and they are slowly creeping in the right direction. However. My latest bloods show that my TSAT is now too high at 65% (up from 39% two months ago), and ferritin at 70ug/L (up from 65ug/L.) Is this just something to monitor for now?

So, this is crazy!
Had follow up blood tests recently after levothyroxine increase from 25 micrograms to 50 micrograms. Did tests through both the GP and Medichecks (since they had the Thyroid function test on offer a few weeks back). I have a professional blood draw at a local clinic for the Medichecks test, rather than

Iron levels
Had an awesome break through with a locum GP who checked my iron levels, found them to be low and gave me Ferrous Sulphate. It’s worked wonders. Yay! However, three months in and my normal GP has asked me to go for another blood test to check my iron levels now and won’t give me further ferrous sulphate

Anagrelide in UK and in the USA😱
My long suffering wife has been taking Anagrelide and a little hydroxycarbamide for five years now. During these five years she has endured numerous upper GI bleeds, and endoscopies, which have never found the source of the bleeds. More recently, and only since her Anagrelide has been reduced from 21
