Postpone period whilst 6 months into IUD
Hi all I understand you may not have an answer but having a discussion may help me feel better ! I have had the Mirina IUD for 6 months now as a treatment for Endo after surgery and still getting monthly bleeds. When I was taking the pill I would take a back to back packet if I wanted to postpone a bleed

Comparison can be good for the soul...
I do not often write on here but it seemed these musing may be of interest to others so here goes... ONE of the great advantages I find from attending the courses run by the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service (PRS) is comparison. And after today's session I feel encouraged. Not that I am significantly

Changes In Immune System
After living with UP for around 30yrs and Systemic Mastocytosis diagnosed 13yrs ago. I have had sepsis 3 times. The 1st time due to an abscess on my ovary and infection due to coil contraceptive. The 2nd time no cause was found. The 3rd time I’d had an accident and broken 4 ribs and punctured my lung

Could I be pregnant on Copper coil?
I had copper coil inserted May 2021...since then I've had my periods although they have been sporadic. Though I have missed period last month? Could I be pregnant, I'm going to test this weekend. It's still in place though so it's not like it's come out.

Met with surgeon 1st time, forced to make on spot decision.
I had my 2nd hospital appt this week, where they confirmed I have endo. My left ovary is stuck to my womb & I have some endo inside my womb from what they can see in the internal scan. After just finding this out she asked me to pick if I wanted the coil to help symptoms or a Laparoscopy. She said the

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease - how to recover?
Recovering from or living with Pelvic Inflammatory Disease? Please tell me your story. Maybe caused by copper IUD?? I am 45 years old and was very active and busy up until mid April this year. Regular 5-8 km running and upwards of 10,000 steps per day. No health issues. Had copper coil fitted in 2013

Constant brown discharge
Hi All, my wife is 6dpt with a high grade 5 day embryo. This is our 2nd FET and previously we had 2 rounds of IUI, all failed. We have had the same symptoms everytime and our clinic don't seem to be concerned like we are. Basically by day 2/3 she starts to spot a very light pink / brown discharge. Then

Endo using mirena coil and hair loss
Hello, I have endo and polycystic ovaries and I’m using the mirena coil to treat this. However I have hair loss and have lost a lot of hair in the back of my head. Has anyone ever experienced hair loss with the coil? If so what have you done for treatment? Thanks

Looks like our first IVF round is failing
Hi all! I’m new here but looking at some of your posts & replies, it looks like I’ve found a great space for any IVF worries & questions! This is our first round of IVF, after 4 failed & 2 cancelled IUI cycles. We transferred two embryos on 19th May and 7 days later I got some light bleeding. It was

Hi everyone. Sorry a bit long winded.🥺 Recently I have developed reactions to medication. In January I developed rash to my HRT patch that I had been using for 6months, then an allergy to my perfume. In Feb I started on methotrexate for my arthritis but I got really bad nausea that lasted 4 weeks, then

Visit with new Hem/Onc Dr went well!
Hi Friends, I had my first visit with my new local doctor. He is Associate Head of Stem Cell Transplant Dept with Ochsner in Louisiana. He does not treat any cancers other than blood. He listened and verbalized understanding that my previous Dr’s were not a fit for me. He reviewed my BMB from Vanderbilt

Adenomyosis and endometriosis doubling progesterone pill
Yesterday I was diagnosed with adenomyosis on a scan and probably endometriosis. Initial options are the coil or doubling my progesterone pill. I’ve doubled and feel awful! Upset stomach and nausea, can’t be a coincidence? Does anyone have any experience with the coil that’s positive? I’m at a loss

Hi everyone, new here so just a quick (or not) intro; isn't it great to be alive! Glad you're on this mortal coil as well, long that may remain. It's been 18 months since that fateful day that my family went through the hell of seeing me with my heart stopped. They rallied round and took it in turns
