After living with UP for around 30yrs and Systemic Mastocytosis diagnosed 13yrs ago. I have had sepsis 3 times. The 1st time due to an abscess on my ovary and infection due to coil contraceptive. The 2nd time no cause was found. The 3rd time I’d had an accident and broken 4 ribs and punctured my lung . I then got sepsis in my lung and given intravenous penicillin and had full blown anaphylaxis. I was put in an induced coma for 5 days. Has anyone else had reactions to medication or anything that you were ok with before?

Hi Susaphine - I'd be sort of surprised if anyone hadn't... Having always been pretty intolerant to meds I've been keeping pretty much away from them. I was surprised to tolerate my 2nd gen. antihistamine rupatadine well, but weaned off it as soon as possible. Returning to my lipid & blood pressure would be next in line, but I've got those fairly under control with supps at the moment.

Ah, supps, that reminds me: I had problems with vitamin C and NAC after the jabs triggered my MCAS, couldn't shower without pain. Stopping them I could again, after I read in a study they could work counterproductive in some people. After a time I started up vitamin C again, and that was OK. But all other supps I tolerated before I also tolerated after, had to increase quite a few and that was OK too...
