Postpone period whilst 6 months into IUD

Hi all I understand you may not have an answer but having a discussion may help me feel better !

I have had the Mirina IUD for 6 months now as a treatment for Endo after surgery and still getting monthly bleeds. When I was taking the pill I would take a back to back packet if I wanted to postpone a bleed for a holiday or important weekend. How can I do this on IUD?

I don’t think you can. I still bleed and I’ve also had it for 6 months May talk to doctor. Is there no herbal remedies you could try?

Maybe ask if you can try the mini pill on top of the coil … I’m just saying that as some literature suggests doubling up the mini pill if bleeding too frequently on it. You need to put in a request for advice with your doctor.

Hi I’ve had mine for 3 years and I still get monthly bleeding. I rang my GP and explained and they gave me a lower dosage of the pill I was on before being diagnosed to also take. Maybe give that a try? X
