supplements help?
hi there, does anyone with hypothyroidism take supplements that contain kelp? I’ve had conflicting advice on its use/benefits for hypothyroid sufferers. I’m considering starting Thyroid Support with L-tyrosine and Kelp from Cytoplan, but don’t want it to have an adverse effect. Thanks

Faecal calprotectin 809 ug/g Above high reference limit but normal bloods and past colonoscopy/ MRI normal
Hello Not sure if anyone can help, but I recently did aFaecal calprotectin test which came back high at 809 ug/g. However all my bloods were normal including CRP. I also had a colonoscopy, MRI and capsule endoscopy in 2021 and all came back normal. So have been diagnosed with IBS- D by gastroenterologist

Hi everyone I am due my 10 weekly jab next week. Life has been hectic recently so I accept being really exhausted but I have come out in a very itchy rash on my back and arms plus I have really itchy red eyes. Not a pretty sight!!! Anyone else experienced anything similar? Thank you. Xx

prednisone taper
I finally got an appointment today with the rheumatologist-May 28th. In the meantime, I would like to get off the prednisone, but not sure how to do it. My primary Dr told me to take 10 mg, but I was having some pain, mostly shoulder and upper arms, so I increased it to 12.5 for the past week. I’m gaining

Improved?
Had investigations for right ear polyp that had been present for over 20 years but making routine ear micro suctioning difficult (long standing over production of ear wax). Had hearing test but waited for results (October 2023). Went to concert 3rd Nov and mistakenly did not wear ear plugs. Very loud

Reducing or eliminating IBS symptoms
I thought I should share this, if your IBS symptoms is frequent stooling (not diarrhoea) you can try peppermint oil capsules say 30 mins to 1 hour before a meal (once a day) combined with deliberate reduction in stress and relaxation from worry; I believe it will work, at least 90% reduction. The best

Buzzing… how do you get used to it? Or rather ignore it!
Hi I’ve had tinnitus for about 5 years. It started with the hissing sound. After trying sound therapy treatment, I became aware of a tune in one ear. It gradually faded and I was told I had wax in that ear. I think wax helped block my sound as I had it removed and 8 months on it is just starting to

Anyone advice on my constipation problem, I feel I need a stool softener, but anything I try massively increases bloating and pain. As everyone knows on here it’s hard to live with. Thanks.
