It's hard to say Hatten. 4 x 80 mg is a fairly high dose. Why not call your doctor or pharmacist to check it out with them? I also recommend eating a couple of slices of bread as this will slow down the absorption rate.
I didnt need an overdose for sotolol to do this to me. I flat lined on it after 10 days. Many of these drugs have terrible side effects for some. Having said that i realise that many people have been helped. I was fitted with a pacemaker because of my resistance to the drugs. I do take diltiazen 120 every day and verapamil if i need it, which i do occasionally. 40mg.
I take Sotalol, but have never taken too many. I have a pill box organiser for all my tablets, which you can buy from the shops or Amazon. You put in the tablets for each day of the week and you’ll know whether you’ve taken them or not. Much better than just getting them out of the bottle. I have enough boxes for a month and then I only have to sort them once a month.
Except when you get the days mixed up! I couldn't believe it when I found Wednesday empty and even checked the calendar, Tuesdays were still there but just couldn't think how I'd taken Wednesdays instead - luckily the only variation is for warfarin so I just exchanged the doses. 🤣
I hope this is resolved by now (I read posts later than most, as I'm in the US). When a friend once OD'd on a prescription drug, I told her (1) call her doctor or pharmacist for advice, and (2) drink lots of water to dilute it through the system. I hope all is well with you.
Never taken that many before,I take 20ml morning and evening, but if I get a bit of tachycardia I will double up for a day, and that normally sorts it,
Hope you can get your meds sorted! We all react so uniquely to meds, so stay curious and keep your Drs informed of your reactions until you find the right combination for you. Sotolal was awful for me, I was so breathless, and exhausted on it - and I was on a low dose! Best of luck -
