Platelets Dropping
Is this “normal” or any advice? Undergoing radiation since March, have 22 sessions done, 6 to go. Started Casodex in December to prepare to start Eligard in January. Radiation started in March. My platelets have been dropping. MO said could be due to Lupron and/or radiation. IMRT targets Gleason 9

IMRT WITHOUT THE JELL
I'm scheduled for IMRT Radistion without the jell. Doc says the jell may push cancer microscopic cells away from the prostate. He said the cancer is about to protrude through the capsule and microsopic cancer cells could be out of the capsule and did not want to take a chance of putting the jell in and

Hi all, This is my first post since being diagnosed with g9 metastatic PC. PSMA PET showed several pelvic lymph nodes with Mets, but no other spread, and bones are clean. I’m trying to finalize my choice of radiation treatments. I’m currently on Lupron and Zytiga, and PSA is dropping like a rock

End January onwards I have an on off pain in the left ribcage area with an increasing frequency. To recap....PT3bN1Mx, RP in 2019, IMRT 2020 and on ADT for 30 months, currently completed

hello My 80 year old mum was told after three excellent responses in chemo the last two she became platinum resistant and progression in the lungs. Some thickening of the lining the consultant said the only option was caelyx but due to her age and possible brutal side effects and probability of not

He is now in

care
after loosing more amounts of blood from both ends thru the night. They took him to theatre and found the bleed and have tied it off. They are keeping him asleep and treating him for encephalitis, they have given him a lot of blood and proteins, keeping his fluids up..

Barrigel is now preferred over "SpaceOAR" gel?
Consulted by video with the doctor who is supposed to install my SpaceOAR in preparation for my IMRT. His first words were "we don't use SpaceOAR gel anymore. We use Barrigel." He explains it has fewer side effects but the same radiation absorption characteristics. Here is what "UroToday" says:

Seeking advice re: end-of-life planning with family
Hello everyone – I am a 70-yr-old retired health care professional and writer; my EGFR has been in the low teens since 2019, and I have most of the challenges you would expect. As time goes by my renal status continues to deteriorate, and I’m not functioning as well as I used to in any area of my life

Staring at my unopened bottle of Orgovyx
Well, D-day (or maybe O-day) has arrived (thank you FED-X). I'm about to do a swan dive into my battle against my PCa. After a week of searching for this stuff, my clinic found it in Louisville Kentucky at a pharmacy called Onco360. Not exactly a neighborhood corner market with me living on an island
