Lupron side effects - recovery?
IMRT + brachyboost + 9 mos of Lupron here. Numerous side effects - from wt gain, hot flashes, emotional roller coaster to genital shrinkage, higher BP and bone density issues - poster child for side effects. Ugh. Anyhoo, I've been told that it may take 6+ mos or more to "recover" from the Lupron side

Slowly getting into and used to LCHF. Coconut... Good or bad?! And how to work out how much Protein you should have a day?! Advice needed.
Hi. I've been slowly for the last 2 weeks reducing my carbs, and increasing my healthy fats. I've cut out bread, and grains, breakfast cereal now. With starting to look at what new things i'm supposed to eat, and being vegan for a long time. I bought a vegan keto 30 day cook book arrived 2 days ago

Today’s WSJ essay on the abject failure of medical science’s progress in dealing with this family of diseases and what must change.
Patients have to be treated in
intensive
care
units, and entire industries are sprouting up just to control the deadly side effects. I’ve experienced the pain of this situation from the other side of the hospital bed.

Palliative care
Met with the acute care facility where my aunt is for update. Small improvements very slow. Spoke with Attending Doctor after via phone. She said she was thinking of moving my aunt to palliative care but since she seems a little better she will wait. I feel that would be giving up. I don’t know. Anyone

Some of you know my story; RP on January 4th, IMRT starting June 1st just ended last week. 5 Firmagon shots going to Lupron on September 1st. Dr. Richard Lam of Prostate Oncologists in Marina del Ray absolutely wants me on Zytiga starting now for 12 months. Says it will increase likelihood of permanent

A Simple inexpensive Blood test can Predict whether you carry a CV risk in future or/and you carry a risk of type 2 Diabetes/metabolic synd
I was interacting yesterday with one of my close Cardiologist Friend (we were school friends), he tells me that one simple blood test- least expensive which people don't do- can predict if you carry any CV risk or type 2 diabetic risk.. Long Overdue Update
I’ve been hiding from this site because sometimes I feel like I’m already drowning in cancer. Yet, I find whenever I post I have received useful information, kind support, and I hope pieces of our experience may benefit others. We are nearing 2 years since my husband was diagnosed. At time of diagnosis
