Decompensated liver

Hi everyone, I have just joined this group and in desperate need of advice. My mum 68 has decompensated liver with all of the complications that go with it. She was hospitalised in July for 3 weeks, was out for 3 weeks then back into hospital for 3 weeks. She was only out 8 days this time and now back in again. She has massive plueral effusion and this is the second time her right lung has filled with fluid and collapsed in 3 months. I am so worried as the fluid is filling so quickly dispite her being on a high dose of diuretics. Has anyone experienced this and know the prognosis moving forward? I’m finding that the nurses and doctors are not very forthcoming with information. Is it going to be palliative care soon? Thank you,
