ED No More (the prequel)
I've had so many comments since my post "ED no more" that I felt I should offer more. I'm a neophyte on this site. As a matter of fact I avoid this site. I have always adopted an "ignorance is bliss" attitude towards life and my PC. My wife, on the other hand, is a nervous but adventurous individual

Failed tumour surgery, what are my options now?
Hello all, I wondered if there is anyone in our community who has/is having a similar experience to mine and has any ideas or guidance on next steps. To summarise, I was diagnosed with a stage 2/3 poorly differentiated Mullerian tumour arising in endometriosis with concurrent Stage 1A LGSOC in the

Some hopeful test news:🙏🏻
My son had a PSA of 20 just 3 mo after RRP last October 24th. Prior to that we had no idea from his test results that the PC was outside of the prostate. It had gone to his pelvic lymph nodes plus he’s tertiary five. He’s been on generic Zytiga and prednisone and Lupron and finished six weeks of IMRT

Well, so much for feeling normal....
Some of you may have read my long story on the Enhertu infusion. I have it in my lungs, spine and then it spread to my liver and the next treatment (Xeloda, I think) and after three months still progression. If you have the time, grab a cup of coffee and read. OR, if you are having trouble sleeping

Sweet!
Had 2nd of 90 days Lupron Feb 1-23 as adjuvant 6-month ADT therapy with my Salvage IMRT. First PSA test yesterday and T level. Undetectable (less than .006 uPSA) and T level of 30. Here's to hoping it stays down. I know BCR may happen over the long run with SVI, PNI, bladder neck, and surgical margins

Change from Ropinerole to Rigotine patches
I saw a new Neurologist at my local hospital last week as my RLS has been made worse by the chemo I am on. I am stage 4 and Palliative care for Sarcoma with mets in liver, chest wall and spine. I told him I can’t wean off Ropinerole so he suggested changing to Rigotine patches which, as I also have IBS

Question to my NJ sisters
I got to the point that I can’t stay with my oncologist any more for many reasons. One of them is that she doesn’t see me as a patient, but just as cancer. No symptoms that could be seen as a sign of cancer or side effect of the therapy are of interest. After I was hospitalized for urosepsis and anemia

I got upset yesterday because it was the anniversary of my surgery, I also got upset last Sunday because it was my actual Birthday on the Monday and I remember being in

unable to sleep just in case I didn’t make it to my 55th Birthday. Well last Monday I celebrated my 56th.

Would you have NODAL RT in 5 fractions?
Prostate SBRT in 5 fractions has now been adopted as standard of care for all risk levels of PCa. But doctors are now turning their eyes to nodal radiation (Whole Pelvis RT - WPRT) in 5 fractions as well. I am having HDR Brachy boost therapy with follow up node radiation starting next week at

Issue with pain
Hello gents, my father 63yo was diagnosed with PC s4 at the end of 2022. T4N1M1b, PSA=30, G=7 (4+3), more details in profile. January 2023 started ADT (Zoladex) June 2023 went to MO with severe pain in his lower back and lumbar area, and started Chemo (Docetaxel). He just finished his 2nd cycle of

MRI-Guided ViewRay for Salvage Radiation
Looks like I'll be soon heading for 6-7 weeks of IMRT salvage radiation. Has anyone been treated or aware if MRI-guided linacs such as the Mridian Viewray offer an advantage over CT-guided ones when it comes to post-op salvage radiation? With prostate gone, it seems a higher portion of the bladder and

Happy Days are here again - PSA post IMRT
Hey y'all, I had labs done at AIS as I was there for a post op check after the 28 IMRTs. T under 10 and PSA dropped again from 5.2 to
3.89
💙
,
but I normally go thru Kaiser and this was Quest Labs. I think Kaiser sends out PSA to another lab. This PSA is the lowest in a year PTH

😪😡😪 Need to vent.
So palliative care and the transplant team have asked the gp to provide particular care and meds, have they NO!!! Can I make an appointment to speak to a gp? NO!!! The only thing to reduce me to tears is trying to deal with the incompetence of my gp surgery.

Diarrhea and gas after radiation...
In 2019 I had 37 fractions of IMRT. First three years i had no issues to speak of concerning bowels. Last year I had a colonoscopy which showed enlarged blood vessels which was causing the occasional blood in my stool. My question is this...how many of you have had diarrhea and gas show up a few years
