As far as discussing palliative care is concerned, this video is a waste of time. The moderator does most of the talking in the discussion portion, and he just does not get down to the business of explaining what palliative care is intended to do, how it works etc.

EDIT: I should add that I am a fervent believer in palliative care. A specialist (nurse practitioner vs. MD) was available to me soon after I was diagnosed (in 2016), and he has been instrumental in helping me get through all the various treatments I have endured over these past years.

Here's a video by a palliative care doc (from New Zealand) who describes what it is, and argues that men with prostate cancer should get involved with this service early in their treatment. youtube.com/watch?v=Mrtvq4a...

I tried to link the video, but it doesn't seem to be working. You can find it by searching youtube for: "Rod MacLeod - Palliative Care for men with prostate cancer"

(A) No hospice unless you can get a Doc to say you will live only 6 months. Not as hard to get a Doc to say that as you might think,

(B) If you live past 6 months, it just keeps going. I'm not sure if or how the decision can be reversed.

(C) All treatment stops once you go into hospice. Well all insured treatment stops.

(D) The hospice companies are predators. Even more ruthless than nursing home operators. They make the most money by providing the least care.

Why do you extrapolate your instance to an entire state?

well ok. I may stand corrected. I should have said we had a very good helping hand with my father. Is that better

Just saying. LoL

Guess only those critical of hospice are allowed to generalize! I have heard nothing but praise from those I know who had hospice care for loved ones. Including my father.
