Newbie here!
I am now overweight and suspect I have
insulin
resistance
so it's twice as hard to lose weight as it is for the average individual. At any rate, I have gone through period and of acceptance and self love only to end right back here, hating myself and my body and wishing things were different.

My Doctor Says…
“It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong.” -Richard Feynman An ongoing theme in the LCHF community is that the medical establishment seems hell-bent on ignoring scientific evidence, to the detriment of millions

Is Trulicity ok to take?
I am insulin resistant and overweight. I weigh 186 at 5’3 “. It costs $300/mo. Is there anything else I can take to help? I can’t seem to loose this weight. Been exercising 30 minutes 3 to 4 times weekly and keeping record of what I eat on my fitness pal. I still eat a little sweets every day but

For 6 mths fairly consistently but going back longer I have pressure/weight in my chest and head when I eat, sometimes with dizziness. Mostly happens in the morning and at

The Mystery of Coffee and Diabetes
"The UCLA researchers have found that a protein called sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) somehow lowers
insulin
resistance
. Most coffee drinkers greatly increased levels of SHBG in the UCLA study. The people with higher SHBG were the ones who didn’t develop diabetes.

Type 1 Diabetics
Just wondering if there are any other Type 1 Diabetics out there? How do you manage your insulin when running and what beneficial effects, relating to diabetes, have you experienced because of running.

Protein in urine 1st time
I see an endocrinologist for Metabolic Syndrome &
Insulin
resistance
. Along with my other labs, she did a urinalysis and for the first time, my u/a had 20ml protein in it. I've had CKD since 2012. What does this mean? I see my nephrologist in June with a full renal panel one week before.

An intro to LCHF
“For every expert, there is an equal and opposite expert”. -Clarke’s Fourth Law The low-carb high-fat diet has been around for at least 100 years, and it does what it says on the tin: it helps you maintain a healthy weight, it reduces your risk of heart disease and diabetes, and it can often fix niggling

Vitamin D and B12 advice please.
Also, my endocrinologist has me taking Metformin this pregnancy (for
insulin
resistance
not diabetes), and so far it seems to be saving my pregnancy as I've never got this far along before. BUT it is not helping my B12 levels. Latest results were 691 (211-911).
