I see an endocrinologist for Metabolic Syndrome & Insulin resistance. Along with my other labs, she did a urinalysis and for the first time, my u/a had 20ml protein in it. I've had CKD since 2012. What does this mean? I see my nephrologist in June with a full renal panel one week before.

Are you achieving good control of your diabetes?
Although I have insulin resistance, I do not have diabetes.
You said that you had metabolic syndrome and high glucose in the blood stream goes along with that. That sits well with insulin resistance which causes Type 2 Diabetes. Have you had your fasting blood sugars or HbA1c tested?
25 years ago I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. I have my A1C checked every 6 months by my endocrinologist and it is always normal, with the last reading 5.5.
interesting. Usually insulin resistance would increase already increased blood glucose levels. Are you controlling your glucose levels with medication or a dietary option?
Were your blood sugar levels low at diagnosis and has Metformin increased them?
No. My blood sugar was normal. The Metformin was to assist with weight loss to avoid hyperglycemia
