If the benefits of AZ vaccine highly outweigh the risks, why is the position of GP's not to administer it with sedatives ASAP to my son?
My son has Autism and Rubinstein Taybi Syndrome, he is registered with his GP as Clinically vulnerable. As his main carer I was offered the Coronavirus Vaccine under the conditions of being a carer for a person that is clinically vulnerable. However, as he is so scared of needles and has a known history

It’s not working
Following a particularly challenging day at work, which was preceded by a difficult nights sleep, last evening I found myself submerged in the familiar sort of ADHD thoughts and emotions I lived with my whole life. I have gotten the medications dialed in, I’m developing my inner advocate to contend on

Covid Jab poorly afterwards but worth it!
My wife and I had our Covid jabs yesterday - the huge wave of emotions from relief, excitement, happiness. I got the Astra Zeneca one and really quick simple process, both of us in and out in 5 minutes a really polished process. No immediate side effects yesterday. Went to bed got up a little pain

Shingles vaccine
I'm booked to have a Shingles jab shortly. Has anyone had this while on Prednisolone? Were you okay? Any side effects.

Thank you
Thank you to everyone who posted about vaccine groups. I usual I was blithely believing all was in hand. This certainty was bolstered by the fact that following COVID I had asked for the flu jab this year and the surgery had recognised I was not in the right code, section so had moved me. Following

meningitis vaccine
Do CLL patients who have never had meningitis vaccine need two doses? I am asking about the meningitis vaccine for strains ACWY, such as Menactra, not the Hib/MenC vaccine. It looks like two doses are recommended based on google search but my Dr did not mention getting a second dose.

Group 6 and Vaccine
As promised I'm updating on the vaccine situation. I had my vaccine this morning - it's the Astrazeneca one. My GP made it known they were doing Group 6 a week ago, so I called and got my slot this week. So far so good. Usually with the flu jab my arm swells up and aches and I feel shattered. So far

Should You Take Extra Precautions Against New Coronavirus Variants If You’re Immunocompromised or at High Risk for COVID-19?
The rule of thumb is that even if you’re immunocompromised or living with chronic disease, you don’t necessarily need to take more or different precautions against the new variant — but it’s more important to follow the precautions you already know. Methotrexate and the COVID-19 Vaccine: Should You Stop Taking Methotrexate Temporarily After Getting the Shot?
Pausing methotrexate after getting a COVID-19 vaccine may help increase your immune system’s response to the vaccine, but this decision should be made on a case-by-case basis with you and your doctor.

Weird!
Was diagnosed with PMR seven years ago and it's never gone away. I'm convinced it was triggered by a 'flu jab few weeks before and have been on varying doses of Prednisolone since, currently 3 ml per day. But, and here's the weird bit, since I had my pfizer jab 4 weeks ago, I've had no PMR symtoms.

Shingles vaccination
I had a phone call from my GP to have a Shingles vaccine next week. I didn't manage to ask whether it will be a live or non-live vaccine. Last year I heard an acquaintance of mine with RA said she had been refused by her GP for the shingle vaccine because of RA. Anyone has the shingle vaccination

So tired!
It could've been worse, so I didn't mind the mild headache and I knew I would be sleepy because I was after the 1st pfizer vaccine. Energy is starting to come back tho! Yeah! ☺️ Also emailed my neuro about when to get the shingles vaccine after getting the covid vac. Cause I still have to get that
