Is Hashimoto´s a chronic disease or not...?
So, I registered to get a flu shot. Priority is given to risk groups, such as people with chronic disease. One question was: "Do you suffer from any chronic disease? If so, please specify". So I ticked the "yes" box and added "Hashimoto´s thyroiditis". Not to end up in the priority group, but just answering

Get your flu shot: It might shield you from severe COVID.
The coronavirus and the flu are two entirely different viruses. But a new study suggests those who get a flu vaccine face a considerably lower risk for being hospitalized if and when they get COVID-19. And the flu vaccine also appears to significantly reduce a COVID-19 patient's risk for ending up in

My Mum
Hello It’s been a long time since I last posted. My mum was diagnosed with NSLC stage 3b at the start of lockdown. She was put on immunotherapy (even though her results showed less than 1% expression). After her 4th round she had a scan and was told there was shrinkage in the tumour and that the nodes

Absolutely Fed up!
Hi all I'm so fed up with my lack of medical care. I've worked at home, shielded, since lockdown. I've had to do things differently, it's been hard but we've managed. I support schools in my role so you can imagine it's been busy. So why can't either my GP or rheumatology do the same? I appreciate it

No flu jab for me!
Went this morning to my pharmacy to get vaccinated against flu. I've never had a flu jab before and all my allergies were checked, taking up most of the space on the form but was stymied when it came to latex allergy. Pharmacist said he couldn't take the risk, - although NHS says it's negligible -

Has anyone had an increase in migraines after getting the flu shot?
I read that someone did, but I’m thinking it could have been caused by something else unless there are more people that have experienced this. Thank you.

I have been on Pred since December 2019 and currently down to 2mg (dropped to 1.5mg but pain returned) Having gone back up to 2mg I’m experiencing neck shoulder pains/fatigue .... Waiting for advice on my dose as I think i need to increase dose but in the meantime I’m anxious about having flu jab ..

Flu vaccination
I have been vaccinated against flue several times and always responded to it with flu or cold like symptoms. My husband, who has no Asthma felt very unwell for about 14 days after his vaccination. I now have not been vaccinated for a few years. I have read everything on this site about Asthma and vaccination

MS & Shingles vaccine
I was reading several of older posts regarding the shingles vaccine for people having MS. They have a new vaccine out that’s supposed to be so much better. Have no idea if it’s from a live culture (or whatever ) so interested in your take on the subject now.
