Fed up and worn out
I am feeling very warn out and fatigued right now. I have had a hormoan test come back borderline but i don't think it is just that making me fatigued and worn out. Last time I was feeling like this my levels of vitamin B12, Vitamin D and folate were all low so I contacted my GP surgery to raise my concern

Hello
I am wondering if anyone can help. I have been taking B12 injections for what was meant to have been 3 years but because of COVID-19 I have not received any. I’ve been feeling depressed, irritated, breathless, ribs hurting, right/stiff muscles, pains in joints, cold sores, acne, clotty periods and feeling

B12 deficiency and menopause
I am currently three injections into the treatment for my B12 deficiency which has coincided with unexpected period pains and blood spotting. I am 57 and on HRT. Does anyone else have experience of this or is it more likely connected to other health issues I have?

Hello everyone, I had posted here a month ago and on advice from you lovely people I have had my vitamin D tested. I have a B12 deficiency and have had various symptoms (extreme hair loss over the last lot of months one of them) and had some bloods done with the GP. My folate came back as really low

Trials Seek to Answer if Vitamin D Could Help in COVID-19.
A few years back, respiratory physician Adrian Martineau of Queen Mary University of London and colleagues analyzed data from about 11,000 participants in 25 trials that tested the effect of vitamin D supplementation on the risk of contracting an acute respiratory tract infection such as influenza. Low ferritin low hemoglobin celiac three years ?
I have posted before but at my wits end. I was diagnosed celiac three years ago due to very low ferritin and hemoglobin. I began gluten free diet and iron supplements and my levels were back to normal. Dr took me off iron and I continued gluten free. Past labs have shown a steady decline in my hemoglobin

How long before I can recover from vitamin deficiency?
I got diagnosed with vitamin deficiency likely b12. I get tinglings everywhere mostly on my back, hands and feet. It's very frustrating and I've been deficient for more than 4 months now. I just got diagnosed and bought 500mcg oral supplement. I don't know how long till I finally get cured because I

Post-treatment lab results -- interpretation help appreciated!
Hi, everyone! I'm hoping those of you who have more experience appraising lab results can help me here, since I still have two weeks before I can go to the hematologist to have these explained to me. I have iron deficiency anemia (formally diagnosed) and, until recently (?), what I assumed to be pernicious

Hypothyroidism or just Vitamin D deficient?
Just recently had a blood work done on which I am waiting to hear back from my family doctor. I have been experiencing a range of symptoms both of hypothyroidism and vitamin d deficiency. I noticed my tsh level were 3.8 and vitamin d is 18 nmol/L. I haven’t had my blood work done in a long time, and

Implications of elevated HoloTC (active B12) and HoloTC > 20% of serum B12?
I've read a few times here and in research papers that HotoTC (active B12) is generally up to 20% of serum B12. Mine is not (in my case: HoloTC = 31% of serum B12), and beyond that my HoloTC is higher than the reference range.
Notes

B complex and folic acid
Hello! Me again..! I have a question about vitamin B supplements and iron... I can't find one that contains all the B vits but doesn't contain folate or folic acid... Does that matter? I get confused on the types of iron. Do folate and folic acid 'count' as iron? 🤔 I'm so confused. 😂

Don’t give up on IRON!
I suffered from RLS for years until I started taking daily “gentle iron” and vitamin C. I have been RLS free now for three months. However, I was away from home last week and out of my usual routine. I forgot to take my iron/vit C combo at night for maybe three nights, when at 2am I got that old familiar

Is vitamin D deficiency the primary trigger of thyroid disease?
After, oh I don’t know, 10 years struggling with hashimoto’s, my consultant tested me for vitamin D deficiency - symptoms of Vitamin D deficiency feel very similar to hashimoto’s symptoms. So I was low and needed a supplement, which thankfully I started in February just in time for Covid19. Had my

Iron levels
I'm new to the forum. Has anyone here corrected their T4/T3 conversion issues and symptoms by bringing up ferritin levels with iron supplements? My iron saturation was high and ferritin at 47. I've brought B12 and folate up. I had a messy seven months experimenting with NDT and now I'm back on levo.

Nitrofurantoin B12 deficiency?
I have taken Nitrofurantoin on advice from my doctor for infections but I’ve only found out now that there is a caution about taking it being deficient in vitamin B12. I’ve tried to find information but there’s nothing around to say what the side effects are and I have had the tablets for a few days
