Fed up and worn out

I am feeling very warn out and fatigued right now. I have had a hormoan test come back borderline but i don't think it is just that making me fatigued and worn out.

Last time I was feeling like this my levels of vitamin B12, Vitamin D and folate were all low so I contacted my GP surgery to raise my concern and all they said was take supplements. No concern or anything despite my past and recent history.

I know at the moment things are difficult but surly there would be concern of the overdose of Folate and vitamin D if my levels are okay and I start taking the supplements.

I have ordered a private test for £49 and cant afford to pay got my Vitamin D or B12 levels to be checked at the moment.

Is there any suggestions on how I can find out my levels checked?

As far as I’m aware the gps only test vit d levels once a year but I could have been misinformed by practice, I’m sure someone else will know.you can do fingerpick tests maybe try boots or Superdrug for the kit or amazon i just checked £7-45 for vit d test kit.really you’d be better pushing gp though and get your b12 your folate ferritin and Iron all checked tell them your exhausted and very stressed.best of luck x

I've requested vit d and iron 3 monthly and I got the tests. I've only left it longer as ferritin had finally risen and vit d stable on maintenance sides The labs will not test before 3 months . Same for folate . Yearly is what recommended if okay

They won’t even do that for me. I’ve not had mine tested for a year now

I phoned our surgery to ask for a blood test today but they said nationally there is a shortage of something (can’t remember the name) needed for the lab to analyse blood with. So the earliest they can offer blood tests is not until November.

I’ve had a blood test today for something else, it is okay here, last week there was shortage of something but they never said what it was
