Nitrofurantoin B12 deficiency?

I have taken Nitrofurantoin on advice from my doctor for infections but I’ve only found out now that there is a caution about taking it being deficient in vitamin B12.

I’ve tried to find information but there’s nothing around to say what the side effects are and I have had the tablets for a few days before without any doctor picking up on my B12

Has anyone found information on this ?

Thank you x
