Success with iron therapy.
I'm happy to report that after 8 weeks of iron therapy, my ferritin level has increased from 66 to 152. I began by taking one 325 mg ferrous sulfate (65 mg iron) tablet plus a 250 mg vitamin C tablet on an empty stomach at least 2 hours after consuming food. About midway, I changed the iron source

Oral Iron supplements, doing it wrong!
Well, I got my full blood test back and after some analysis, I think I messed up. I have been supplementing daily with 36 milligrams of ferrous bisglysinate. Here are my lab results that concern me. Ferritin was 72! This is my lowest since my infusion in 2016. Eight weeks after my infusion

Solgar B12 - Sublingual & Methyl cobalamin
Hi, I have always used Solgar Methyl cobalamin B12. I thought this was the same as sub-lingual B12, but after re-ordering it appears Solgar B12 sun-lingual & Methyl Cobalamin are different. And it does seem the Methyl cobalamin is out of stock in many places. Is it ok to use the Sub-lingual B12

Confusing iron panel results
Hi, guys, I'd like to ask for help interpreting my iron panel results. First of all, let me say that this is the first time ever that I have had these tests done, so I don't have anything to compare with. This is what the results look like: Hemoglobin: 155 g/l (reference range: 120 - 160 g/l) Serum

stop wasting TIME , MONEY and SUFFERING Use iron infusions first line for those whose ferritin is suitable
Doctors please top wasting time , money and suffering… Use iron infusions first line for those whose ferritin is = or >75ug/L (plus other parameters are ok TSATs etc TIME because they relatively quickly find out who are the 60% ‘iron responders’. If you are one, then great, get on with iron plus any

Eustachian tube dysfunction is it possible this is connected to b12 deficiency?
My partner has has b12 deficiency symptoms for years, only recently diagnosed. He gets a fullness in his ears, he cant pop them even with all methods ENT teach you. I was just wondering if anyone else had had these problems. Initially we thought his off balance feeling when walking was caused by this

Help with iron results - follow up from 3 arrows nutra
Hi everyone, I did an iron panel and I’m quite amazed with my ferritin level. I have been lax with my iron supps since going to T3 only and thought I would definitely have ranked my previously low results. To my disbelief, my ferritin is the highest I’ve ever seen it! I was previously taking the 3 arrows

PA /B12 curious
hi there, Quick question for you PA experts. with a few symptoms that tick PA boxes over many years that are not completely resolved by B Complex would you. Pile right in and try B12 injections to see if that helps? Or Go to GP and ask to be tested? Last NHS B12 result was Serum vitamin B12

Supplemental B12 and Animal Agriculture
I was curious about the destination of manufactured supplemental B12 (I am vegan). In several books promoting vegan or plant-based diets I had come across the claim that 90% of B12 supplements are fed to livestock. This figure seemed quite high to me. The usual reference for this claim is not a scientific

Starting B12 injections, how often?
Hello everybody, I will be receiving my first B12 injection next week. My blood test results were as follows folate 3.4ug/L, ferritin 19.9ug/L and B12 218ug/L before any medication. I started on iron and folate tablets a week ago. What I'm wondering is how often should I be getting the B12 injection

High b12 readings
Hi, Just a quick question I was wondering about. My b12 stays consistently on the number 1460! I hear of some people with 5000! Does the number indicate anything helpful with gauging how much b12 your body may be needing etc ? It does not seem to move from whatever amount of b12 I am having. Thanks

Latest results from both GP and Medichecks
Hi everyone. So after my disastrous, traumatic experience at A&E I’ve received my blood results from both GP (apart from a follow up lipid profile) and Medichecks. I’d really appreciate any comments and/or advice. Medichecks Ferritin 106.00 ug/L
(Range 30 - 650)
Folate - sample error

Less symptoms but still RLS sleep issues
I have supplemented iron for 4 months now and my RLS has reduced more and more but still have a bit of sleeping problems. I take no medications beside also Vitamin D. Last time my doctors checked my blood my ferritin level were in the normal range (around 140). Question is if I should continue taking

Vitamin B12 Supplements
I recently had a well-being check at my GP and had the usual bloods taken. My results were fairly normal but I noticed my B12 levels were quite low at 200 ( the bottom range is 100). I have a good diet which includes all the foods recommended for boosting B12 levels so I thought maybe I have a problem
