B complex and folic acid

Hello!

Me again..! I have a question about vitamin B supplements and iron...

I can't find one that contains all the B vits but doesn't contain folate or folic acid... Does that matter?

I get confused on the types of iron. Do folate and folic acid 'count' as iron? 🤔

I'm so confused. 😂

Folic acid converts to folate which is one of the B vitamins - B9. It is not iron. Iron is a mineral.

Why do you want a B Complex that doesn't contain folate?

Oh I seeeeeee! Oh that makes loads more sense! I thought folic acid & folate were versions of iron, which would inhibit the uptake of the rest of the vitamins.

I think you might be confusing folate with ferritin, no?

Yes! I think because ferritin and folate are usually together I assumed they were both the same. 🤦🏻‍♀️
