Fat soluble vitamins
I have read that the more advanced cases of PBC have more problems with fat soluble absorption. I haven't been diagnosed yet but I have been living with low vitamin absorption for probably 20 years. The sublingual d vitamin (you just put the drops on the tongue.) is a great way to get vitamin d in winter

Folate Definciency
Even after reading all the posts and advice (for which I am truly grateful) I'm still confused by Folate / B12 deficiency. Can you have a folate deficiency (only) without having a B12 deficiency?

Vitamin B12 issues: full bloods are on the low side
I think my doctor was fed up enough to order full bloods. Anyhoo, we 'ruled out' thryoid issues, he has prescribed a Vit. D booster with no need for follow-up. I asked for a print-out of the test results and I do think a few things that relate to B12 are on the borderline of either high or low. I'll

Input would be greatly appreciated.
I'd be grateful of any advice to help me be prepared with the correct information before I contact my GP surgery. I've already received invaluable information from Forum members and the Pernicious Anaemia Society have been a lifesaver. Please excuse my long story and any over sharing of information

Stopping oral supplements before blood tests
I can see that you should stop having B12 injections before you have a B12 test because otherwise you are just testing whether the B12 injection is entering the blood stream. Should one stop oral supplements before a B12 test? I am guessing not because only a small amount of B12 is being absorbed from

Advice on best multi vitamin to take
My iron levels came back quite low yesterday so GP suggested taking an over the counter multi vitamin with iron in. But there's so many different ones, could anyone recommend the most effective? Also she said to take it with orange juice, but I'm keto, so would rather not. Does OJ really make a difference

Has anyone here got their GP to give them a 'therapeutic trial' of B12 injections *WITHOUT* positive B12 deficiency blood test results?
Hello all. I'm currently suffering from a range of symptoms that overlap with B12 deficiency including some very strong numbness across my whole body but particularly feet and legs followed by arms. I have read a lot of the literature around this and there are clear suggestions to proceed straight

Should i be supplementing potassium with b12? If so, how much? I have read b12 can cause hypokalemia, and I have the symptoms.

I have an underactive thyroid and for the last few years I have had high alkaline phosphatase in my blood. They always thought that was because I had low vitamin D I was given vitamin D supplements but they never increased my vitamin d level, I finally decided to take sublingual vit d plus vitamin
