Stopped taking NDT cold turkey, was this an ignorant mistake?
Hi Everyone, My ME/CFS doctor suspected that I had subclinical hypothyroidism last winter and so I began to take 1 grain NDT daily, which I gradually built up to 1grain am and .5 midday. Although I felt no improvement in my health and I felt no negative effects from taking it. I was just about to get

So swollen- Is it fat/mucin/water? Ballooned 3 dress sizes in half a year 😭
Hi everyone, I am extremely swollen and feeling like a balloon. I. have dents after pressing for few seconds and It hurts to touch, especially lower back, bum, belly and thoughts 😔 I had my Levo reduced last December (150 to 125) and it put me at the bottom of the range for both T4 and T3. BUT since

Not good enough?
Well once again my mom made me feel like white trash! Like a second class citizen. I had bloodwork drawn a few days ago and Dr called me said I need to go to ER. I thought,I was going to die cause of the way she was so evasive she was! She said my sodium level was too low. Went to local hospital and

IBS IS UNFORGIVING
Take an
Imodium
or take a laxative and go out there and enjoy your life! Give it a shot, think positively. If I can do it anyone can, I have been living with anxiety, panic and IBS for 20 plus years. I have good days, bad days and haven’t got a clue days but I ALWAYS wake up, smile and merge ahead.

Link between hypothyroidism and raised levels of creatinine?
I have Hashimoto's and believe I am undermedicated. Recent blood tests showed TSH at 5.5 and also a raised creatinine level which I am worried about. Have to repeat blood test this week. Sodium, potassium and urea levels were fine. Any thoughts?

Low Sodium Levels
Anyone else have low levels? And what do you do to try to improve it. My problem is I hate the taste of salt but have been adding it (more than I like as to me it makes my food taste just of salt). We use salt in cooking as my husband has been a very heavy smoker for 50 years but has (touch wood) just

Any runners out there with IBS?......
My runs are severely restricted as I can only run where I know there are places I can “go”in an emergency and any race would be out of the question without a large dose of
Imodium
, which I would prefer not to take.
