Please help! My bf has had a tummy bug for three days and has started taking Imodium today and his symptoms have gone worse help!

It is my understanding (although I am not a doctor) that with a stomach bug you should not take Immodium as it stops the viruses or bacteria from leaving your body through diarrhea.
If his bowels are rejecting Imodium then the tummy bug is STILL inside him.i had it for FIFTEEN days but had to let it pass through.horrid I know but really needs to take a stool sample to doctors. Then if antibiotics are needed they will get rid of the "parasites good luck.x
GP at this point.
