There aren't any thyroid results in your post, did you have TSH, T4 and T3 tested ? these are the basic ones needed.
Hello bantam12 I was supposed to have had it done in last month when I saw the print out somehow I know that it has not been done but I go to the diabetic endocrine clinic at the hospital on Tuesday so I'm going to ask for them to test my thyroid and any other tests thank you for your reply
As Bantam12 says, you need to show us your thyroid test results for anyone to have a look and comment. Remember to go to the doctor as early as possible to have your blood drawn and you should be fasting.
I know that you have gone to a lot of trouble writing out your blood and urine analysis results however, without reference ranges ( normal value from ... - ,,,) they are no good because different laboratories use different reference ranges. Your GFR to test kidney function is calculated based on your age and weight but even without that information, your GFR looks good.
Can I ask why you think you might have a thyroid problem?
I am sorry it look as if they have neglected to do your thyroid when they clearly should have done. You need the tests described by bantum 12 as well as your Vitmain D, vitamin B12, floate and ferritin.
Whta re you symptoms currently. Are you tired? Consitpated? headaches?. There are a lot of symptoms that could indicate hyopothryoidism. Also can you take your pulse and temperature. There are good indicators of thryoid status. You can have the blood taken privately from bluehorizens.
I am a diabetic in remission, I have my thyroid tested as part of the routine tests, annually. That was how I was diagnosed as hypothyroid. Seems odd that they neglected to test your thyroid yet you suspect that you are hypothyroid.
In terms of diabetes, a large waist circumference puts you at risk of diabetes and it’s complications as it indicates more visceral fat (fat around the organs.
I put myself into remission with diet and exercise, went HbA1c 49 down to 35, in the last 3 years. It can be done. Good luck x
