Hi I have been feeling very exhausted, not the usual Hashimotos fatigue but instead completely run down, breathless, very dark circles under eyes and total lack of energy. This has been going on for years to be honest despite introduction of t4 and t3 and thyroid results being normal now. The medication

Hey, thyroid friends! Im a bit lost about my symptoms and las blood work. Any advice and idea will be welcome. I was on 50mcgt4/15mcgt3 and was feeling anxious and heart symptoms described below and go down to 25mcgt4/10mcgt3. For the last 10 days I decided to go t3 only (back to 15 mcg). And after those

Complications are a circle
Hi there, Hubby only been home 4 weeks and back in to get drained again. Low blood pressure 93/50. Low sodium, was 128 then dropped again. Taken off dueretics for 72 hrs, and back on them tomorrow. Been told if this doesn't work it will be a stent, then the transplant list. Any advice from experience

Possible lung infection???
Well after a rollercoaster of emotions over the last couple of weeks, lung lesions, probably a new primary lung cancer and then a possible infection, I’m now on steroids and high dose antibiotics. Hoping and praying that this clears whatever is on my lung. Feeling strange on the tabs to say the least

Help with understanding test results?
Hi everyone. In the last 18 months I have had many strange (and as yet undiagnosed) symptoms. Too many to list on here and not bore you all to death but my main worries are leg pains (intermittent claudication), leg weakness/pain, tingling hands/feet, fast heart rate when walking, left sided chest pain

Deep brain stimulation first therapy to slow the progression of Parkinson's disease
“DBS is the first therapy to show disease-modifying effect—it can actually slow down cardinal features of Parkinson’s. There has been no therapy, drug, or device that has ever been able to do that,” said Dr. Konrad. https://www.mdlinx.com/neurology/top-medical-news/article/index.cfm/ZZ52FEC8C385D94C8EA0767FCBC5BA4391

Fluctuating Egfr
My Egfr has been between 59 and 62 since 2016. I am 51 years old. My blood work is fine. Potassium sodium and urea all within range. Did another test just yesterday and my Egfr is now 79. I've been on low salt diet. Loads of Vegetables.

Hypothyroid driving me nuts!
Hi I’m hoping someone can help. I was diagnosed with hypothyroid 4 weeks ago. Doctor has put me on 50mg of levothyroxine. I’ve had no periods for over a year (thought this was due to coming off the injection) but 3 weeks on medication and I got a period! After reading all the posts on here I just

Seriously questioning my doctor, need your advice!
I am at stage 4 GFR 23, Type 1 diabetic for 43 years. I had one nephrologist and was not happy with my care. I dropped him and was referred to my current doctor two years ago. My ckd was caused by immunosuppressive drugs when i had a pancreas transplant. I was told by many doctors that nothing could

Sudden Downturn
My spouse has the DBS in oct 2016. The past 6 months, he’s been falling daily. Forgetting, occasionally leaving stove on... Finally, the doctor convinced him to get a walker. We’re also testing him to see if he can drive. I upped his devices to 3.7voltz a month ago but the dr put them at 4.0 yesterday

Unsalted cheese and butter.
Can anyone suggest a good branded unsalted cheese or butter? Amul cheese and butter have too much sodium which can raise BP. Will paneer be a good alternate for a diabetic and does it have carbs as it is made from milk?

LCHF followers - Be aware of high Sodium in Processed Cheese and Butter as high sodium could lead to increase in Blood pressure
I am new to LCHF. I feel great after practising LCHF. As a part of my LCHF diet, I took Amul cheese slices which had fat content of 26% and protein of 20%, no carbohydrate. I took just 2 slices ( each slice weighing 20 gm) in the morning and 2 slices in the evening. After 3 weeks, I find my BP which

I was diagnosed 5 years ago with Hughes Syndrome, Sjogren's and Hypothyroidism. I take warfarin and aspirin daily. Although this has helped I still suffer from from chronic headaches and migraines. I was referred to a neurologist who has no other patients with my condition. She doesn't seem to know

going on vacation- any advice?
just a short jaunt to the Florida Keys but I am worried about following the low sodium diet while there....I am pretty strict with myself about keeping those sodium levels to about 1500 mgs or less a day. Any ideas from anybody how they handle this while traveling? Thanks!

Hi all, I have been battling my sons (21yr old) health for over 3 or 4 years now and it is an exhausting journey! Finally his blood tests have crept upwards and am hoping that the GP will look at them tomorrow, seeing that they are not 'normal' after all! Please can someone help me because I've forgotten
