Can anyone suggest a good branded unsalted cheese or butter?
Amul cheese and butter have too much sodium which can raise BP.
Will paneer be a good alternate for a diabetic and does it have carbs as it is made from milk?

Yes full cream cottage cheese is a good alternative with 25% fat and 16% protein.
You can look for Amul Malai paneer or mother Dairy paneer if you are based in Delhi Mumbai Kolkatta
Rabba, please go for organic paneer, organic cheese. You can buy from a dairy delivery app by name "doodhwala". Please avoid non-organic brands like Amul, etc
Amul has option of unsolted butter, it comes in blue packing and is white in color, similar to home made butter.
Paneer/cheese are proteins so they do have carbs in it and once should not take too much of it. Look for recommendation by Dr Eric berg on protein consumption quantity.
Atulvats, i just had a look at the organic paneer packet which I've been having of late.

I see the carbs are very minimal in paneer.
Yes, they are very little. Let me explain as I know: Fat is slowest to get converted into glucose,it also helps with lipid profile numbers, protein is slower than carbohydrates to get converted to glucose and carbohydrates convert to glucose almost immediately. Fat and carbs can be consumed as much as you want, but carbohydrates will certainly not help at all in controlling blood sugar and insulin resistance., hence carbs are to be avoided at all costs and time. For protein it has to be consumed in limited quantity as they impact kidneys. I still suggest you have a look at Dr Eric Berg's youtube channel on diabetes, he explains it very well.
