Good morning,I'm wondering if anyone has experience of switching to lactose free Levothyroxene and it helping with fatigue specifically? I have always been somewhat dairy/cows milk intolerant. I get all the usual symptoms but over the past few years have discovered what I can manage (butter, hard cheese

A Bladder Cancer Update.
I got a telephone call early this morning, I was still in bed. Was a woman offering me a place in a Private Hospital for A 'FLEXY CYSTOSCOPY' Good news but the hospital was miles away in Preston, in fact the other side. So I asked her could I not get in at my local hospital - She then started talking

Happy New Year
I'm well and coming up to first anniversary of total hysterectomy for grade 1b ovarian cancer. No treatment just 3 monthly follow ups with CA125. I am very emotional and feeling like a bit of a fraud for not just being very grateful that I am still here. Thanks

Cirrhosis & Diverticular disease
I was recently diagnosed with Diverticular disease and Cirrhosis of the liver, after having a Scan and colonoscopy. I was referred to the Gastroenterlogy department at the hospital for triaging and consultation with regard to the cirrhosis, but it looks as if both of those will take months to happen.

Do the NHS test for active b12 aswell a total b12?
I wonder because my sister was diagnosed with pernicious anemia years ago but now they say her b12 levels are really high normal.

Where's the fire in delaying/pausing chemo?
3 weeks ago I started chemo with the Cabazitaxel/Carboplatin combination (I'd rather not name the hospital for now) I had a bad reaction to the first infusion (it turned out that I had an undetected infection, so my immunity was rock-bottom) As a result of that experience (10 days in hospital, wiped

Happy New Year to fellow warriors - I hope for your continued good health as we engage in common cause against our common foe. I start the New Year with an odd query: I'm now on Day 21 of a Cabazitaxel/Carboplatin combination chemo. I was due to have infusion #2 today, but because of a bad reaction,

Cholestyramine
My husband has had explosive diarrhea since mid February. After blood tests, stool samples, colonoscopy, and more stool samples, they are not able to determine what is causing the diarrhea. The doctor has prescribed Cholestyramine. Has anyone had experience with this medication and did it help?

Genetic testing and Second Opinion ā A result!
Following on from my post last week about docetaxel not working, I had a frank conversation with my MO during which I said I strongly believe that genetic testing of my liver biopsy sample should be the next step and after some debate, to my surprise, he agreed and has put through the request. Itās still

I had my first iron infusion yesterday. I will be going back next week for another one. I would appreciate any advice, thoughts or comments.
