I'm well and coming up to first anniversary of total hysterectomy for grade 1b ovarian cancer. No treatment just 3 monthly follow ups with CA125. I am very emotional and feeling like a bit of a fraud for not just being very grateful that I am still here. Thanks

Happy New Year
Happy New Year to you!
Happy New Year! You're not a fraud - you had diagnosed cancer and you had surgery. Nothing fraudulent about that.
Happy New Year
I understand why you might have these feelings as I too was diagnosed early stage 1a but as I had clear cell I was advised to have chemo which I did.
So although I didn’t get away lightly as chemo has left me with quite bad neuropathy, I feel compared to a lot of people I did as I didn’t have any pain from the cancer. I’m so grateful that I’m NED and I’ve spread the word to females in my life about possible symptoms of OC.
I lost my mum to OC 35 days after diagnosis so I’ve experienced both ends of this disease. Having a cancer diagnosis in itself is a lot to deal with so enjoy your ‘good’ fortune after being dealt a ‘bad’ hand.
