low serum iron. Normal ferritin

been getting very tired lately. ET (MPL) on pegysus 45ug every 2 weeks. Mentioned fatigue to haematologist and he suggested reducing peg further to 3 weekly. Got the above results after we got home.

Also raised CRP but I do have a cold . raised neutrophils and wbc. Haem thought this was good as mounting a response my current infection.

Anyway any ideas on the low serum iron but normal ferritin

Sounds like you need some investigation into the iron deficiency anaemia. I would contact your Heam nurse specialist and ask for some advice.I'm having the same problem with iron levels and have moved to Peg 45 mg 3 weekly 2 months ago and will see if there's any difference this month.Fingers crossed as fall asleep for a couple of hours in the middle of the day ( it's like you hit a wall).

Hope you get a response as the rest.of the bloods are good.

thanks for reply. Haematology nurse is going to speak to consultant tomorrow and I have asked GP for a FIT test as don’t want to assume it’s ET related if it’s not. Family H/O bowel ca

Sounds like your under control now that they'll be able to look into it more.
