Well, after a week on the Injury Couch, it felt amazing to get my kit on and make it to Parkrun this morning. I really wanted to beat my pb of 41.09 and I *think* I have done it. Waiting impatiently for my official PR time... Did my usual trick of forgetting to switch mapmyrun off as soon as I had finished so I think I might have finally got down to under 40 minutes which I will be delighted with. My son came with me again and zoomed off ahead and clapped me in at the finish line which was lovely. ☺ Weather was nice and cool this morning, made a big difference. Hope everyone else has had a good one!

Thanks clubberlang, I'm drumming my fingers, waiting for the official time! Patience is not my strong point... Did you decide to go to Parkrun in the end or squeeze in that 10k?
Well, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, so that pretty much decided it for me. 🥱 The sensible thing to do, would be to go for a 10k tomorrow, but I didn't run yesterday and I want to go today.😫 Listen to me, what am I like? 🙄First world problems.😂
It felt fine this morning! A few twinges once back home though, have been out for a long walk trying to keep everything nice and loose. I did sit down and watch the ladies final of Wimbledon but it was over in less than an hour which was helpful! 😂
Glad you enjoyed your 5th parkrun this morning, I ran my first full 5k Parkrun today, was pleased with my time of 34.16, was hoping to get a sub 40 minute 5K but got a sub 35 minute one.
Amazing time! I did my 1st parkrun last week and made a time of similar 34.40, I was very happy with that! Pop over to Belfast and join me sometime Alan.
Oddly I’m in Edinburgh right now at a wedding so I did treadmill today instead of parkrun, not so much fun at all!
