A small win! Also this is for anyone needing Assisted Oocyte Activation
Next step would be
ICSI
but my clinic said that based on what they saw, even
ICSI
would likely fail. Failed fert with
ICSI
still happens about 1-2% of the time. So they suggested using a calcium ionophore to activate the egg also known as Assisted Oocyte Activation.

8 eggs, 5 still going
Today received a morning phone call to let us know 6 were good for
icsi
but 5 went in for the 5 days of blastocyst! I know it’s quality not quantity but I pray to god all 5 will survive! I’m positive

Migraine prevention
I am 41 and will be doing long protocol next month with
ICSI
. I am a bit worried about the hormonal effect on my migraines and was wondering about starting some regular prevention drugs - have stayed away from them so far and just take magnesium and riboflavin along with pregnacare.

IVF fail
Has anyone had success with
icsi
after a failed ivf? We found out this week that our eggs/sperm dont naturally like each other :o/ so only option now is
icsi
. We are gutted. Having to wait 3 months to start
icsi
.

New to IVF - EC, work, side effects
Turning to my part, I do though have some questions on IVF/
ICSI
and would be so grateful to hear from someone who has been through the process. 1. Egg collection - I am petrified about the surgery for egg collection.

Feeling Despondent
We got the call this morning that only 3 were mature and 2 of these have fertilised after
ICSI
(high sperm dna fragmentation). They have told me they want to put both back tomorrow.

Low amh, high fish and 40 years old
One of the cycles we used
icsi
but had low number fertilise so nothing to freeze. Not sure we’d bother using
icsi
again. We’re looking to do another cycle in a couple of months so have stocked up on vitamins, dhea, royal jelly, Ubiquinol, high vitamin c and e, vitamin c, inositol.

IVF ICSI with PGD update - still in the game!
So our Valentine’s Day treat was a phone call from the embryologist to tell us that, of our four frozen embies, we have a “normal” one (it may have normal chromosomes or it may have a balanced translocation like my hubbie- both count as normal). Huge sigh of relief that we *should* have something to

IMSI
Hi everyone, we had an initial consultation today and we were recommended
ICSI
+ IMSI. Have any of you had IMSI? Did it help to get a positive result?

Work getting me down!
We have just had our second failed
ICSI
cycle with no Frosties so we’re taking a few months off to gather ourselves together, get healthy and find some strength to try again.

Waiting....waiting...and more waiting...
Once the first cycle of
ICSI
was over, it is sort of like everyone just forgot that we have to live with infertility and everyone moved on. But we haven't moved on and it still hurts..... Also added to this, I am organising a baby shower at my flat next month for a friend.

ICSI with PGD update
Many of you know that we are having
ICSI
with pre-implantation diagnosis in the hope of overcoming the low odds of having our own child naturally due to my husband’s balanced chromosome translation. It’s our third round of ivf but first with PGD.

Managing ivf/ infertility and work?
I started an
icsi
cycle in January which had to be cancelled before egg collection. With this I had to have a lot of time off from my job for appointments.

Surgical hysteroscopy
So now they want to do the
ICSI
. However they had found polyp in my womb. They will remove by surgery. We'll have to wait 3 months until a date is released. I talked to my doctor about doing private and she said is okay. So I can speed up my IVF. However I don’t know a good clinic or the cost.

So excited and pleased to be feeling better plus 8 fertilised eggs!!!!
, they have decided to do 10
ICSI
and 5 IVF due to hubby swimmers swimming well. All day Friday can't hold down any food. I need up back in hospital Friday night to see a crap doc that just kept me waiting 2/12 hours and no help. Enbryologist called sat am, 5 of
ICSI
and 3 IVF have fertilised.

Egg collection done!
Our embroyologist said she will wait until later to do
ICSI
to see if the other two catch up. I know you only need one so I'm feeling very positive still but also hoping my 2 little eggs have caught up!

1 follicle
Hi, This is my third round of fertility treatment, second round of
ICSI
. My first round of
ICSI
gave me a BFP however my daughter was born prematurely and died just over 1 day old. So we are back going through fertility treatment again... At my scan (D5 of stims) only 1 follicle (11mm) was there.

Found out last June that
icsi
was our only option due to OH extremely low numbers. Wasn’t in the right head space to start last year but I’m ready now. 🤗
