New to IVF. Starting this journey this month. Very anxious but excited to get started. Found out last June that icsi was our only option due to OH extremely low numbers. Wasn’t in the right head space to start last year but I’m ready now. 🤗

Hi, we were sent down the ICSI route too for pretty similar reasons.

I’m sure you are feeling lots of conflicting emotions right now but so glad to hear you are in the frame of mind to get your treatment under way.

Sending you lots and lots of luck in the weeks ahead. We’ll all be here to support you along the way xx

Hi , aw thank you for your reply. I have been on this forum for a while now reading everyone’s stories but decided to introduce myself now. I can see from previous posts that this site offers so much support and encouragement. How are you getting on in your journey? I see this is your 5th cycle?

It’s lovely to meet you 😊 I’m doing well. Embryo transfer next week. Very excited about that. Here’s hoping 2018 has a BFP for us both xx

Good luck with your journey. We had icsi too and now on 4th go. We had resigned to the fact it just wasn’t meant to be but I’m currently 10 wks. Still a long way to go but it’s better than we’ve done before., we had good success rate with eggs surviving the icsi process. They’re so pro at it now! Good luck and keep everything crossed for you. X

Thanks for your reply Chloegreenkiwi. Massive congrats on your pregnancy.its fantastic news. So your 4th cycle worked. All is ok on my side, the doc said I’ve a good amh level,my afc was 21 so he said I should have a good response to meds. My OH SA was “occasional motile sperm”. But I’m just glad there was some there. He had undescended teaticles as a child. Supppse we just wont know till we get going how everything is going to go for us. Fingers crossed tho.

Hey hun

We are going via the ICSI route for similar reasons but ours is hubby's sperm is not apparent in samples so they had to do a retrieval to find some!

Unfortunately our first round didn't work out and we are just awaiting our follow up appointment to discuss our next options.

This site is fab for advice and help - good luck with your journey and message me if you ever want to chat about it all :)

Its going ok, physical symptoms have eased off! Had first scan since starting IVF y'day and consultant said it was looking good in there with 4/5 follicles each side. Back again on sunday so fingers crossed the good news continues xx

Good luck with your journey, it’s tough but keep the faith and be kind to yourself! I was in the same boat as you, I had good reserves and all tests came back normal but hubby has low sperm count and they swim in circles so it was ICSI for us. We were really lucky and it worked first time, now 11 weeks pregnant and waiting for the 12 week scan next Wednesday. I was amazed at how quickly it all happened. Wishing you all the luck in the world!! 🤞🍀😘
