Hysteroscopy

I have now been referred for a hysteroscopy. Has anyone else had a hysteroscopy and what was it like - I am really frightened. I am also frightened about cancer, although I haven't been told this - I am just really worrying. Any assurance, tips or help would be most appreciated. TIA xx

I'm back for more advice or to hear people experience of a hysteroscopy and nk cell test. The clinc is abroad and I would be under general anesthesia for the hysteroscopy which kind of scares me a little but I've seen people say it's painful with out.

I had a hysteroscopy under general anaesthetic on Wednesday. All went well, except for pain after the procedure, pain probably related to scarring from previous surgery in that area. On 6 mg pred atm. I didn't take extra pred.

Hello I posted a short while ago about my upcoming hysteroscopy. Just to update I had it last week, and if anyone is feeling scared/anxious about having it done, I assure you I was in the best hands and very well looked after. My gynaecologist is absolutely lovely and I am very lucky.

it is possible to unblock the Fallopian tubes from fluids during the hysteroscopy. Have any one experience Thank you

HCA have done my initial quote for the hysteroscopy which was eyewatering. X

This was my 3rd after 2 x 5 years being fine but this one took multiple appointments and eventually went in with the help of a hysteroscopy. I know it took a while to settle last time but I can't remember having cramps so much. I've taken iburofen every few days since.

I had a hysteroscopy last week and they found I had Chronic endometritis, which I am now being treated for with antibiotics. Has anyone had any experience of this? Am I finally fertile once I have taken the antibiotics for two weeks? I only have one embryo left, so this is my last chance.

Has anyone had any guidance from your doctor regarding how long you should wait between your hysteroscopy/endo scratch and resuming sex? I had a diagnostic hysteroscopy two days ago while they also performed endo scratch to get some tissue for testing.

I have had two hysteroscopies on my last two transfers. They recommended a hysteroscopy to check for adhesions, but said I could carry on even with the thin lining if I want to.

I was recommended for hysteroscopy. diagnosed with ureaplasma and routine tests showed that I have ureaplasma. That cleared after antibiotics but pushed things by a month. After my hysteroscopy the biopsy results showed endometritis, so needed another round of antibiotics.

which was inconclusive so went for a 5th cycle 5th cycle - BFN I had another hysteroscopy under GA which found more scarring which was from the D&C and basically told me I’d been wasting my time the whole last year as it would have been near impossible for the embryo to survive there Follow up hysteroscopy

He said that I could go for a hysteroscopy to see if I have any scarring or infections though he thinks generally my uterus seems ok, there has been no visible issues from ordinary scans so far.Is it worth doing to help with future DE transfers and what does it entail?

The new clinic recommended a series of tests before a new cycle - Emma and Alice, decidual testing, hysteroscopy and a sperm investigation. The costs really stack up , almost £5k! We’re in two minds about what to do - the tests are pricey but may save us having repeat failures in the future?

The sonongrapher in her view would leave it and she’s knows of a patient who is currently pregnant with a polyp and she mentioned that it may not be picked up in a hysteroscopy. I have a call with a consultant in September for their opinion.

The surgery is a hysteroscopy with potential laparoscopy- I was on a waiting list for the hysteroscopy before and went in for the procedure to be told I don't need it. Then to go back for a follow up to be told I do need it again and go back on the waiting list.

July had hysteroscopy and removed fibroids. August just had more surgery an endo ablation and labia cyst removed. might I add I’ve already had this bloody cyst removed once in 2022. Had surgery on Tuesday, and I feel like absolute death! I’m not even sure what hurts most anymore!
