Intercourse after hysteroscopy + endo scratch

Hello everyone! Has anyone had any guidance from your doctor regarding how long you should wait between your hysteroscopy/endo scratch and resuming sex? I had a diagnostic hysteroscopy two days ago while they also performed endo scratch to get some tissue for testing. I will be ovulating soon and wanted to 'use' the opportunity to try naturally in this cycle as we are between transfers while awaiting results, so I am pretty keen to 'get at it' ASAP. I am spotting a little bit, but no discomfort. My doctor didn't say anything in regards to sex (although I didn't think of asking), but she is usually pretty on it with instructions when they are needed. Just to be on the safe side; have any of you got a hard no to sex from the doctor after a diagnostic hysteroscopy/endo scratch? Any advice/ thoughts will be much appreciated!

I had a diagnostic Hysteroscopy and I was not advised by the consultant that I shouldn’t have sex. In fact the consultant said that there was some research that having a Hysteroscopy increases the chances of naturally conceiving. Best of luck.

Hi BearPanda,

I had my hysteroscopy yesterday in a private clinic and doctors advised not to have sex for the next two weeks, also no heavy lifting. Plus they gave me some antibiotics so I don’t get infection.
