Clear cell stage 2 ovarian - should my mum have chemo?
Also had full
hysterectomy
too. The cyst ruptured during surgery and so the consultant has recommended carboplatin / Taxol chemotherapy 6 cycles in 3 week sections. They completed several washes during surgery to try to eliminate any cancerous cells remaining.

Frustrated with my recovery....
Had a total
hysterectomy
, bilateral salpingo oopherectomy and excision for Stage 4 Endometriosis on August 12th 2019 and recovery after this was slow as I expected. Was 12 weeks before going back to work and went back on reduced hours. Now January and still struggling.

new - need help
Have been hypothyroid over 35 years and functioned pretty well until after
hysterectomy
in 1989. (I think this in retrospect). Started being not well with back pain/head and l had to leave work in 1994. Put it all down to wear and tear. All this time on levothyroxine.

Questions about what happens after hysterectomy & unilateral ovary removal
I’m due to have an op to remove the endo on my bowel & will probably have a
hysterectomy
(due to adenomysis) and one ovary removed. I said that I’d prefer to keep my right ovary (which is healthy apparently) as I thought if I do that I might be able to avoid taking HRT.

Has anyone tried reflexology for their Hashimoto’s?
I had a
hysterectomy
when I was 39 and recovered quickly, but within a couple of weeks an avalanche of symptoms arrived. My oestrogen reading was 0 so the docors told me I needed this HRT or maybe that one or testosterone, no, definitely not progesterone or maybe it was the first HRT I tried…..

Lack of understanding from others
I felt like screaming at her that she had no idea and that it probably won’t get much better, it will probably get progressively worse and it could end up in my having a
hysterectomy
. And I might struggling with conceiving a child.

Insomnia after hysterectomy?
Ladies I wondered if any of you had severe insomnia after your
hysterectomy
? I had my surgery on the 11th Dec and initially I slept for 12 hours for the first couple of days. Now I just lay wide awake in bed? I’ve tried hypnosis (recordings) I’ve tried lavender I’ve tried chamomile tea.

Life after hysterectomy
My endo was so fast growing and attached to my bowel I ended up having an emergency
hysterectomy
taking ovaries too in 2001 at the age of 28 years old, needless to say NO children which I was so desperate for 😥.

HRT / HYSTERECTOMY & OOPHORECTOMY FOR ENDOMETRIOSIS
I'm 42 and having a total
hysterectomy
in April and about to start prostrap with tibolone. 4 surgeries so far, last was in April and diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis, now with many bladder complications and suspected thoracic involvement but nothing being doing for lung and bladder issues.

Pre hysterectomy nerves
Has anybody heard of this before, or of a
hysterectomy
helping relieve sciatic pain. This has all come as a bit of a shock and to be honest I am struggling to get my head around it.

No obvious endo on ultra sound
I had a internal ultra sound yesterday and was told that there wasn’t anything obvious but I have all the symptoms and it runs in generations of my family (Nan, Aunties, mum. All had early hysterectomies and one sadly passed with ovarian cancer). Have any of you had nothing show on the ultra sound but
