Personal Assistants not Care Agencies?
I was speaking to the CHC nurse last week about care agencies and the 'deplorable state of the industry' as she put it. There is a complete dearth of Care Agency placements around here and it tends to be get what you are given and be grateful. Then the nurse (and she is a wonderfully on the ball there

Just can't seem to find my optimism?
I've seen a counsellor a few times after the miscarriage and I'm using
hypnotherapy
tapes at home before bed to try and relax. Me and the husband try and get out and do things but with obviously money tight because of paying for the cycle we are limited but we do try. I just can't shake it.

Hypnotherapist for anorexia
We have been discussing
hypnotherapy
and although we realise it is not recognised in the NICE guidelines and we know there are mixed feelings about its usefulness, we are willing to try it. My daughter is particularly keen to give it a go.

Does anyone know how to get the VA to refer to a hypnotherapist? I have been trying for years, and they just give me this condescending, pitying look and try to shove more pharmaceuticals down my throat while asking me to repeat the same crap I have been telling them since 1991. Reliving it does NOT

Hi I am new here- I went to the doctors to get some help with stopping smoking - I had a session of

by a doctor in the doctors surgery ( more of relaxation and going to a place in my head that is calming and a pressure point for when I had a craving) - I am pleased to say that along with

No positive test for APS
HI All I am still wondering if I do have APS or not. I am just so sick and in pain all the time, so want a diagnosis so I can get effective treatment. My doctor originally diagnosed me on my symptoms and blood test results. He did not test for APS but the results showed I did have an auto-immune condition

Hypnotherapy update
Having asked for people's experiences of
hypnotherapy
earlier in the summer, my daughter has now had 6 sessions and, as promised, here is my feedback. So far the experience has been positive. This may be in part due to the choice of therapist who also suffered from anorexia in her teens.

I have never liked the idea of medications but am getting to the point where I may have to as everything else has failed (counselling, relaxation/
hypnotherapy
CD's etc) Before I see my GP I was wondering what medications people here find helps them most, I know there are many types (SSRI's, beta blockers

Any implantation tips? Ok to sleep on stomach?
Hello I'm soon to have my FET and have confused myself over what can help implantation- would love to hear what has helped other ladies on here get their BFP? I watched a YouTube video and a lady who got her BFP listed a whole range of things she did including stopping herself sleeping on her front as

Facial flushing, phobia of going red!
I've had
hypnotherapy
, accupuncture and tried citalopram a few years ago. I've spend £00's on creams and vitamins to stop this. Recently I've bought a cranial beta brain wave Machine to see if that helps!!

Visicous Aniexty Cycle
I've had CBT,
hypnotherapy
; I've meditated consistently for months; tried aniexty medication, I've tried so much I've lost count and no matter when I tackle the fear and I win its still there. So for example, if I was to travel to my nearest city and get stuck in traffic but I get through it fine.

Hello again everyone!
I've not been on here for a while but been quite busy. For those of you who remember me, I recovered from my emergency bowel surgery last Christmas (just left a hideous scar), my knee replacement has healed well and I can walk quite well now. I was attending the Pain Clinic but after questioning why

Not quite chariots of fire, but...
So the
hypnotherapy
was worth it. A quick slurp of disgusting instant porridge and half a banana and Ironson was escorting me through the Berlin subway to the start.
