Hypnotherapy update
Having asked for people's experiences of hypnotherapy earlier in the summer, my daughter has now had 6 sessions and, as promised, here is my feedback. So far the experience has been positive. This may be in part due to the choice of therapist who also suffered from anorexia in her teens. This has

Facial flushing, phobia of going red!
Hi I'm new to the site so be gentle with me! I'm a 39 yr old male and for about 8 years have had major facial flushing! I have constant thoughts about the fear of going red! I've had hypnotherapy, accupuncture and tried citalopram a few years ago. I've spend £00's on creams and vitamins to stop this

I am wondering if anyone knows what alternative therapies are available on the NHS in Scotland such as swimming in a

Are you trying to get rid of your anxiety?
One of the biggest mistakes people make is to try and get rid of anxiety. They think they have to protect themselves from feeling it, so they hide away, avoid social interaction, run away from thoughts and feelings and push them away. However, to not feel anxiety is not the way to recovery, it is to

Hi All I have IBS which is from my aniexty. Basically I fear going places due to lack of toilets, no toilet access etc so the likes of being in traffic terrifies me. From this I then have IBS and then I worry more and my IBS gets worse. I've had many tests for the reason of IBS and none where the source

If you want to recover from anxiety, please read this. This message does not contain any gimmicks or promises of instant cure.
Hi Over the past few days, I've read lots of messages from people who are desparate to recover from anxiety and have tried to reply to as many of them as I possibly can. Many of the messages are from people seeking reassurance over their symptoms, or a new symptom which is strange to them, adding yet

Hypothyroid: High cortisol tests, cannot explain, but coincide with high thyroid labs, on new NDT brand this year
Originally, almost 2 years ago, I was diagnosed hypothyroid and had low hormones right across the board, including low cortisol all day. Recently, after some time stable and optimal, my thyroid FT3 and FT4 were over range, so I have been reducing my WP Thyroid which I started this year. I just did saliva

Back with a vengeance
I last wrote on here 7 months ago, my anxiety was back pretty bad then, now it's possibly the worst I have ever been in my life (had GAD for 22 years now). All of my calming techniques don't work at all and I am feeling completely lost. I have always "managed" my symptoms well and every so often pop

Also this patient was offerd

.......Lucky her as in my CCG we with fibro are denied that help. My advise is to carefully monitor real medical programmes just in case some other programme maker wishes to perpetuate the myth of recoverable fibro!

Hypnotherapy
I have read that some NHS hospitals treat IBS with hypnotherapy although that is not the case in my local hospital. There are private therapists who offer this treatment including one who did it at a hospital elsewhere. Does anyone have experience of hypnotherapy as a treatment please?

Relaxation techniques
Hi, have suffered from RLS since a teenager, but it all got much worse a year or so ago. As written in a previous post, I began pramipexole, but it stopped working and I got augmentation, so after reading this forum, I decided to try to avoid the dopmanine agonists. So, am trying FODMAPS diet, valium

Hello and help please! Just joined up.
Next was pain management programme, residential for two weeks of,
hydrotherapy
, relaxation techniques, exercising, tests and talks. It was great, and helped me reduce my pills. But it was a bit like living in a bubble, which was so nice and easy, which was what helped mostly.

SICK OF BEING IN PAIN
I've suffered with endometriosis for 11years now, but I'm at an all time low the pain is worse than ever before and I'm getting no warnings of a flare up like I used to resulting in more visits to the hospital for pain relief. My whole life is being effected and I know there are people out there who
