Chiropractor or Osteopath
I am currently 10 weeks post op from a TKR and my mobility is good but I am experiencing lower back pain which is different to my usual back pain. I am trying to walk mindfully but am thinking I might need some help but I don't know the difference between a chiropractor and an osteopath. Who could help

MRI results show DIE behind uterus and and endometrioma.
Still in shock just home from hspt, been referred to MDT they are suggesting that my choices are full hysterectomy or excision surgery and the mirina. I'm 46 so guess menopause is near but hadn't noticed any symptoms but a surgical menopause seems abrupt. Do people go straight on HRT or do you wait and

Hypo/Hyperthyroidism compared to Menopause symptoms
I've just been reading an article in Saturdays Telegraph on someones story on the Menopause. Having passed through the menopause many years ago, I was reminded of the affect it had on my life at that time. Having forgotten quite a few of the symptoms, I realise that having had a total thyroidectomy

Hello, I'm new to this site
To complicate matters, I have a bad right

and need to have
hip
replacement
surgery. I was scheduled to have the
hip
surgery earlier this year, but because of some issues with my heart (I also have AFib), the surgery was postponed. Has anyone had a surgery like this while on ADT?

HRT issues - Plus need to hear about experiences with testosterone
I've been on continuous HRT - Utrogestan 100mg, 2 pumps of oestrogel daily and 1 vagirux tablet twice weekly since October 2022. I'm 45. I recently switched from oral to vaginal utrogestan due to depressed mood but that definitely doesn't suit me so I switched back after 11 days. I started to experience

Endometrioma, dizziness and HRT
I have been applying Oestrogel and taking Utrogestan once a day and I feel better in that my joint pain and lower back pain go away, I have tons more energy, I feel happier but after I am on it for a few days, I start getting discomfort from the only ovary I have left which has an endometrioma in it

natural hormonal balancing solutions
hi I’m waiting for an op for Adenomyosis and endo this year. I also have fibroids. I’m due for a full hysterectomy - including removal of ovaries and tubes. I gave a coil fitted but it’s not very effective due to the size of my uterus due to my condition. I am getting menopause symptoms but I’m not

Worsening RLS
Will get my Ferrutin checked . Aged 62 female. I have started knitting and sit still for several hours in the evening and wonder if that isn’t helping-had a night off knitting and a night off RLS on Saturday! Clutching at straws? Also associate it with being hot in bed. Not taking any meds at all

The Danger of Falls and the warning signs and equipment to prevent them.
I was inspired to write this post by RTR1's recent post about her 1st fall. Falls are one of the most dangerous side effects of MS that affects a large percentage of MS patients. As our disability increases so does the likelihood of falls resulting from that disability. You might ask why I feel

Seeking menopause advice
My period ended at 46 but now that I’m 50 enter mood swings, brain fog & insomnia. Is it normal to have menopause symptoms this many years after my last period. What treatments have worked well? I’m all about natural remedies first & foremost but at this point I’ll consider HRT if others can convince

So at my last GP appt to review all my results, 21 months of blood tests* since the multinodular goitre was discovered in May 2021, the GP said I do not have primary thyroid and I need to let it go, he believes my symptoms are carers burnout. I raised secondary/central thyroid and we seemed to reach

A (failed?) attempt to stop thyroid medicines.
Hi, everyone. Sorry for the long post... I've been on thyroid hormone replacement since almost 4 years. I started euthyrox on the advice of my gp when my TSH was 2.89 (0.27-4.20). My antibodies were also slightly elevated (TPO: 112 [0-34]) and they remain on this range until today. Back then I was

Results please advice needed
Overall comment 13/02/2023 Your thryoid function results show an unusual pattern. There may be several reasons for this, such as taking thyroid medication or treatment or the sample was taken when you were unwell. If the result is unexpected, we recommend you discuss these results with your GP. TRIODOTHYRONINE

Horrific night sweats.
I know some of you knowledgeable people will be able to give me some advice about how to help with the horrific night sweats I am having. This is fairly longstanding (17years), since I was about 50, now 67 but recently I have suffered long bouts of them. Currently, have had them for 47 nights in a row
