Effect on sugar control on LCHF diet for 6 days in a week?
Has anyone tried this method of keeping strict control on LCHF diet for 6 days and deliberately freeing oneself to have all sort of tasty and forbidden food for 1 day in a week. This method both gives a motivation to strictly say no to forbidden food and on the other side feeling good that i will

My journey with diabetes from last 1 year
It all started with a routine health checkup camp at my office somewhere in October 2013. My BS reading was 140 mg/dL after 2-3 hrs of breakfast. The doctors didn't give any importance to the readings and so I also ignored it. But it was a warning sign of my body developing diabetes. And in July 2014

MEDICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES
Today,I visited a leading Urology hospital that is recognized by National Board for Accreditation of Hospitals and Health services. No doubt it is a great hospital, but what attracted me most was a notice prominently displayed in the reception area. The notice clearly mentions the rights and responsibilities

Hi there, Can anyone tell me what to expect when I attend the lipid clinic? My doctor said my cholesterol was 9 and put me onto 10 mg of Lipitor per day. don't want to go back to the lipid clinic but where else can I get an FH test?
After today's experience, I really don't want to go back to the lipid clinic again. I only went because I wanted the FH test but as usual I felt completely steamrollered by the consultant, that he wasn't listening to anything I said, and I will have to wait 4 months for the results anyway. But I am very

Apolipoprotein a - yet another thing to worry about.
Ok so I just went to see my 3rd lipid consultant. He was slightly better than the other two in that he thinks, on the balance of probabilities, I've probably got polygenic hypercholesterolemia, not FH. He also accepted there were other risk factors. However since I have a family history of stroke - though

One month post-ablation
Ablation seems to be holding, but complications persist. Developed slow stomach motility so hurts to eat or drink, food just sits in my stomach, losing weight. GI consult pending. I know general anesthesia can cause this, but have also read about damage to vagus nerve. Any chance this is what happened

Post test results for Ezetrol 10 mg
I promised my partner, my heart specialist to test this product in order to lower my supposedly high cholesterol (total chol. 7,74; HDL :1,66; LDLc: 5,4; Tri.:1,49 mmol) . As I couldn't put up with terrible cramp with Atorvastine I was to try the Ezetrol, so I did a 2 month trial. This is what happened

Asthma and High Blood Pressure
Just wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with high blood pressure and how is managed. Is thee any implications on your asthma at all? Are the two linked? During a routine GP appointment this week my blood pressure fell into the high category (hypertension type one) . I also had a very fast pulse
